The Winter Album

I'll just say it: I love Christmas. Apparently, so does *NSYNC, because all of their songs relating this topic ROCK!!! Well okay, they're not all perfect, but I'll get into that later. See my opinions on the concept of the Winter Album in my group page. For now, check out my reviews on the songs.

*U Drive Me Crazy: See, this is why I like *NSYNC. I mean, there are reasons. This would be one of them. Love the lyrics, chords, funkiness, whatever. Music video's a little freaky, but funny nonetheless.

*God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You: Check the Individual Songs page and the group page for my thoughts.

*Thinking of You(I Drive Myself Crazy): This would be known as the JC version. Check the Individual Songs page for my thoughts on the other one(I'm getting really tired of putting up these links...!:)). The two versions are a little different...Do I like this one better? It seems a little more upbeat, and it does have a cool guitar solo, but then it loses that cool chorus part...I like them both, really.

*Everything I Own: This one's really good, and the harmonies are what make *NSYNC, the type of songs I like to listen to. But what's with that weird guitar thingie? Once or twice was fine, but it happens all over the song. But then there's a big Lance part, which is a good.

*I Just Wanna Be With You: Na na na na na...:) Well, actually it gets repetitive after the first 3 minutes, because the beat doesn't really change a lot. Still, it's tight 'cause it's the type of rhythm I like.

*Kiss Me At Midnight: One of my favorites of *NSYNC! It's so tight, and I'm into all songs with this type of beat(Apparently I'm into a lot of beats; I'm not picky:)). The little 5,4,3,2,1 is a tad on the uhhuhyeahsure side, though, and I hate it when songs just fade slowly out while they're still singing.

*Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays: YES!!! Did I mention that I love Christmas? And that I'm into all sorts of Christmas songs? Love the piano intro and the upbeat take on the holidays, it just gives me a wonderful feeling everytime I listen to it. The guys sound so happy singing it, it brings out my inner child(Which is a good...God knows I don't let him watch Free Willy everyday anymore).

*All I Want is You(This Christmas): Chris has mad skills. Him and whoever does the saxophone. And then Joey joins in; his duet with Justin is immense. It's so upbeat and lively. The song's like over before it began, though.

*Under My Tree: Ah, yes, the type of early nineties pop that we need more of today. Still, it moves a little too repetitively for me to get into. On the other hand, their harmonies are still as *NSYNC as ever, and the fact that it's a Christmas song scores it high points.

*Love's In Our Hearts on Christmas Day: Wouldn't the world be a much better place if all anyone did was listen to this song over and over again? No? Ah well. Anyway, despite its being a slow-moving ballad, from a musical perspective I love this song and the *NSYNCers do such a good job...if I were a girl or gay I'd probably start drooling and faint(I'm sorry! Don't send me hatemail, it was a joke!).

*In Love on Christmas: Still pretty good, again amazing vocals, but at the end JC starts singing about being with my mama and his grandaddy and it's all woooooooookay. And at this point, I'm starting to get bored of the upbeat-less songs...show me the tempo!

*The First Noel: Thank you. Really, thank you. "Noel, Noel, Noooel, NoEEELLL...born is the king of Israel..." I ask you all, is it really so wrong to get so pumped up at a song meant to celebrate the birth of the Messiah? It's just so amazingly done, and I actually know the words to this song and it's become my favorite *NSYNC sing-a-long.

So my concluding analysis? It's just an ultimate album. Still, I was a little disappointed that they didn't have all the other Christmas songs because they did such a good job on those, too. I guess I'm going to have to go find that elusive Christmas Album. Ah, anyway, just go get the CD and thank me later.

Okay, that's all for this page.
