They sold land same year to John Sheldon. In 1839 he received land from his father, land which came from grand-father, Daniel. In 1833 he received from his uncle, Seth adn wife, Nancy, a portion of same estate.

Marshall of Adams, Mass., b. before 1817; m. there May 10, 1838 to Adelia Sprague, dau. of Nehemiah Sprague. She died July 16, 1895. He was a carpenter and weaver. After his death, his widow resided at Whitington, Vt., 1884.

All these brothers except Elijah are shown in these records. His name in the index of Clerk of Surrogate Court., Otsego Co., N.Y. Name on R.I. Civil and Military lists. 1800 he and wife both over 45 with 1 boy and 1 girl under 26, and 16 respectively.

No evidence that he served in the Rev. War. He came from Pownal, Vt. to New Berlin, N.Y. about 1790 with 4 brothers, Eber, who settled in Otsego County, Richard, who also settled there; Francis; and Jacob, whose descendants are in Tioga County, N.Y. In 1800 he was over 45 with 4 boys and 1 girl, all under 26.

Eber of Otsego County, N.Y., b. Coventry, R.I., Apr. 12, 1755; d. Burlington, N.Y., 1834; m. Apr. 15, 1784 to Susannah Gardner of Pownal, Vt., born 1767. She was allowed a pension in 1839 at age of 72.

Eber enlisted in spring of 1776, served as private in Capt. Daniel Allen's Company, Col. Andrew Ward's Conn. Reg., embarked from N.Y. and was there at the time of the Battle of Long Island, was in the Battle of White Plains in the retreat through New Jersey over the Deleware into Pa., was in the Battle of Trenton at the taking of the Hessians, was in the Battle of Princeton and was discharged in the spring of 1777. During the years 1777 and 1778 he served two tours of one month each under Capt. Abel Bennett at Newport and Swanzey, both services in the Rhode Island Troops. After this he was called out on several short tours no details of which were given.He was allowed pension on above mentioned application, Sept. 17, 1832 while resident of Burlington, Otsego County, N.Y. He died there Jan. 13, 1834.

Eber's pension papers mention neighbors, Gardner Harrington and Clark Gardner. On Susannah's application she mentioned neighbor, Nicholas Gardner, aged 52.

Benjamin, b. May 17, 1757; m. Theodocia Gardner of Pownal, Vt., b. 1768, and they moved to Burlington, N.Y. after 1790. He served 9 mos. in the Rev. War in N.Y., discharged Feb. 20, 1778. He was in Capt. Jonathan Hallet's Co. and Col. Van Cortlandt's Regiment.

His will was probated Apr. 7, 1826, in which he mentioned children: Gardner, who had 6 sons and 2 daus., Ruth Matterson, Francis E., Benjamin, Lydia, and a grand-dau., Lyday Avery Harrington, also a brother, Francis.

Aug. 6, 1825, his new residence was along land bought by John Harrington, and joining that of Stephen Harrington of w. Sally Clark. Mar. 8, 1823 he bought land from Job Harrington of w. Hannah Parker, 4 acres in Laurens, along Otsego Creek.

Elisha of Otsego Co., N.Y., was one of 5 brothers who came from Pownal, Vt., 1790. He left no descendants and died long before 1878.

Elijah of Otsego Co., N.Y., b. 1755-1744; 1800 he was over 26, and his wife, under, Eshter Bates, and had 1 boy under 10. Was 1 of 5 brothers that came from Pownal, and later moved to Ohio, and settled near Cleveland. One of his descendants was Mayor of Cleveland. Had son, David, who married Alma Cord.

Richard, b. before 1785; m. 1st _____ Briggs, and had 3 daughters, and 2 sons, of whom the second child and 1st son was Thomas G. Married 2nd, Fannie Cord, and they had 4 sons and 1 daughter. She married again after his death, Mr. Baker, and she died at the age of 80. He was one of 5 brothers who came from Vt., 1790, and died long before 1878, leaving no descendants.

Richard Harrington of Charleston, Mass., was admitted there as an inhabitant in 1643, from which time he served as lime burner down to May 26, 1647. He was made freeman there 1647, but his name did not appear on Buddington's list of church members. He died there Dec. 1659. He came from England between 1630 and 1634.

He had a sale at which James Parker bought several pieces of furniture, Jan. 30, 1804; he sharpened plow share for same man who helped in 1779; set tires on same man's wagon, May 8, 1780, and was summoned by him to appear at Groton Court, May 4, 1781. James Parker carried Mother Willard, and Lovie as far as Thaddeus Harrington's with his ox and sled. Town of Shirley paid him a bounty to serve in continental army for 3 years. He was one of 11 Harringtons in Battle of Lexington. There were Daniel, Thadeus, Jonathan, Jonathan, Jr. Caleb, Jeremiah, John, Moses, Jonathan, and William.

Hannah, b. Newton, Mass., Mar. 8, 1739; married Jonas Dyer, Sept. 27, 1761.

Harrington of Worcester County, Mass. He served 4 years as private in Mass. line in Rev. War, and was placed on pension rolls of Oneida Co., N.Y. in 1818 at age of 81. He owned 50 acres of land laid out Dec. 15, 1769 at Lunenburg, Mass.

He was minor in 1291, buried at Cartwell Church. He was a minor in 1297 and for 5 years was ward of Sire William De Darcre.

They had Robert 1st, son and heir apparent who died in Ireland on or before 1834; (sic) m. Eliz. Moulton. They had John, 2nd son, married Katharine Bannister, dau. of Adam, and wife Margaret (Holland) Bannister. In 14th year of Edward I, he was among stout young soldiers who were to attend the king into Scotland, received the honor of Knighthood, with Prince Edward, by Bathing and other sacred ceremonies. In 12th year of Edward II he had license to impark 600 acres of woodland and march within the precincts of his Lordship of Aldringham.

John, 4th Baron of Aldringham, England; died 1418; m. Elizabeth. He was summoned to Parliament under the misnomer of "Robert," from his succession to Sept. 3, 1417. He was in expedition made into France in the 3rd Henry V, and the next year, being retained by indenture to serve the King in those wars, he received 295 pounds on hand toward his wages on the account. Same year proposing to travel in foreign countries, he declared his testament, June 6, 1417, bequeathing his body to be buried wherever he should happen to die, and his wife, Elizabeth, 1/2 of all his silver vessels, after which he survived only a year for the probate of that will bears date, April 27, 1418. Leaving no issue he was succeeded by his brother, William

William, 5th Baron of Aldringham, England; d. 1447; m. Margaret Neville of Thornby Kent. He was summoned to Parliament, Feb. 6, 1421, and served to Sept. 6, 1439. He was sheriff of YOrkshire and Governor of the castle in the 10th of Henry V. Afterwards he engaged in the Wars of France and as standard bearer of Battle of Agincourt, 1415, was severely wounded. Was at the siege of Rouen, 1419. They had Sir Thomas, only son, Isabel; Agnes, b. 1419; m. Sir Alex Redcliff of Ordshall, 1412-1475, and had Anna who m.
