Detroit, Mich, Feb. 8, 1815. (sic) She has sister, Caroline, Almira, and Harriet.He was a sub-marine diver and recovered valuables from sunken ships. He commended his diving in 1852, and became noted in 1856 after six divers had failed in recovering the safe from the ship 'Atlantic," which sunk in collision on Lake Erie in 170 feet of water Apr. 19, 1852. In this year he raised the ship "Oneida" which was also in Lake Erie. During the Civil War he was head of the Underwwater Men on Lake Erie. Was unable to raise the Merrimac on account of the swift current, but he did raise nine vesseles sunk in the Neus River by the Confederate Navy. He found opening in the blockade at Charleston, and the Confederate Government offered $5000 for him dead or alive.

Cott of Meadville, Pa.; Lucy, who married Farnsworth, Kossuth, who was scalded to death at the age of 1; Perry L, a temperance worker who died of smallpox in the oil fields of Tionesta and Halbert of North Erie, Pa.

Lewis T., b. at Westfield, N.Y., 1830 or 31; d. there 1895; m. 1852 to Julia C. Dickson. He was sherrif of Chautauqua County, N.Y., 1869 to 1872. He settled as harness maker at Sherman, N.Y. was a member of Masonic Lodge and was given a Masonic funeral.

Levi Harrington, b. p. before 1800; m. Polly Kenyon, dau. of Phineas Kenyon, who lived on a farm near Bald Mountain, in sight of Schulerville, N.Y. She died when their son, Allen, was a small boy, and was buried at Greenwich, N.Y. in the Old Battskill Cemetery. Some family trouble embittered the Kenyon family toward Levi, and the marker at the grave of Polly was lettered "Polly Kenyon." They prob. had only one child, Allen.

Allen, b. on the Phineas Kenyon farm near Bald Mountain, in sight of Schylerville, N.Y., Aug. 15, 1821; d. in Warren County, N.Y., Sept. 24, 1882; m. by Elder Washburn at his house in Northumberland, N.Y., Sept. 9, 1846, Henrietta Baldwin, dau. of Samuel C. and Phoebe (Kingsley) Baldwin. Henrietta died Sept. 11, 1899. They had five children, including Frank T., the informant.

He purchased land in Warren County, N.Y., from Gardner Kingsley, in 1852. He purchased land there from Wm. Nims in 1861, and 1865. He and wife, Henrietta, sold lot in Glens Falls, N.Y., to Francis M. Grevy, on 1857. They sold building lot there to W.H. Knox, in 1863.

His estate was settled but there was no will. His mother died when he was a small boy and he grew up with the younger children of Phineas Kenyon, his grand-father.

After marriage in 1832 he moved back to Chenango County, N.Y. where he practiced medicine until 1843, when he moved to DeKalb County, Ill., and settled on a homestead four miles forth from Sycamore, and they had 5 children. In 1864 he momved to Ann Arbor, Mich., where his two youngest, Mark Walrod, and Mary attended college. In 1865 he returned to Sycamore, Ill., and bought property, and then died there in 1893.
