"Naturally the common people don't want war.  But after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship, or a parlaiment or a communist dictatorship.  Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.  That is easy.  All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.  It works the same in every country."  --Herman Goerring, Nazi B@$t@rd

Isn't it scary that the words of a German nazi uttered a half century ago accurately describe what is happening in the United States today?

"The quiet ones are the ones that change the universe...  The loud ones just take the credit." -- Londo Molari, Babylon 5

One of my favorite science fiction shows is
Babylon 5.  It can often be an excellent sourse of quotes.  This is my favorite from the series.
"Always expect the worst; you may be pleasantly surprised, but you'll never be disappointed."  -- Me

This is kind of my personal motto.
"The avalanche has already begun.  It is too late for the pebbles to vote."  -- Kosh Naranek, Babylon 5

If you've ever seen the show, you'll know that things said by Kosh seldom make a lot of sense.
"Today must be tomorrow because it's one day after yesterday."  -- Majin Buu, Dragonball Z

My roommate is a fan of
Dragonball Z, a cartoon from Japan.  I had never seen it before.  It is often packed full of... interesting statements.
