Ask a lot of questions. Chrome Solutions wants you to call all competing companies. There are many key things to ask and look for in your initial call.
Ask for a reference of a successful customer. If they can't or refuse to give you one, they may not have any.
Ask about competing companies. If they bad mouth competitors, do you think they will be pleasant to deal with if you encounter a problem? Maybe they are threatened by competition and are needy for your business.
Ask what you will need to start your shop; good clean air.
Ask how to pipe your compressor for best results; a decent hvlp spray gun with a nozzle not greater than 1.4mm.
A good spray gun is a very important part of this process, but you don't need to go out and buy a $600 - $800 gun. From the get go, a cheap gun works fine, but it may not last as long.
A clean environment; you don't need a spray booth, but you do have to set up your shop right.
