During Paint
I didn't really take enough pictures of the truck while we painted it.  So much led up to the day we finally began shooting green on the now-perfect pieces.

We painted the truck right in my dad's shop over a couple of Saturdays.  We wanted to get it done early so there wouldn't be too much dust and stuff kicked up by passing traffic.

After blowing the shop out with high pressure air and hosing the entire place down with water, we starting spraying.
There isn't a paint I can't run.  I know three light coats are better than one heavy, but I just love the way paint flows on and hate the way it runs off when I spray too heavily.  When my dad began shooting the green, he sprayed very light first coats.  I was freaking out - the color looked to be fluorescent; a very light, lime green.  Luckily, after three of four coats, the real dark classic green color could be seen and I was finally at ease.
Even with a big fan blowing and a low pressure gun, the paint still fogged-up the shop pretty good; masks were essential.  Niel wanted to come in and see how the paint was flowing and was curious as to the color I had finally agreed to.  Was going to be Butternut Yellow, Red or Dark Green.
You can't see it, but the gun is on the table and my pop is outside getting fresh air - that is about as close as Neil and I got to the gun without supervision - neither of us wanted the responsibility and we'd rather just blame my dad should something go wrong.
My dad tries to play this stuff really cool - but I think he was stoked at how well everything turned out.  The gun is a nice Dvilbis HVLP gravity fed unit.  This was his first time using it and I'd say that just about when he was done painting all my stuff, he really got the hang of it.  Maybe this "practice" will pay off when he paints the '46 Dodge.

You can see the cab in the background and a little bit of an indication of how clear and reflective it is.
After the paint dried and was buffed out, it looks like it's still wet.
