| Chobits is about a college student boy called Hideki Motosuwa. He works for money, however he can not afford a persocom. He wanted his own persocom after he saw his boss from work use persocoms to do all the work for him. Hideki, by luck found a persocom dumped in the trash, therefore he decided to bring the persocom home and keep it. When Hideki got home he switched on the persocom and the only thing the persocom could say was "Chii", therefore Hideki named her "Chii", but Chii was no ordinary persocom as she can switch off other persocoms and was a possible Chobit. Chii's memories were erased, so she has no memories about her former owner. Hideki wants to find out more information about Chii and her former owner, so he talks to his friend at school called Hiroshi Shinbo along with his laptop "Sumomo" Hiroshi knows a boy called Minoru Kokubunji who has a wide knowlegde of persocoms. When Hideki visited Minoru, he learns he must teach Chii about human behaviour and as Minoru carries out research on Chii, he tells Hideki that Chii was no ordinary persocom and that she was a possible Chobit.. Hideki and Chii made a visit to the land lady Chitose Hibiya, Chitose realises what is going to happen to Chii as she was the former owner, however Hideki does not know anything about Chitose and her relationship to Chii.. There was also another Chii called "Freya" (also known as dark Chii or black Chii) Freya still has the memories from the past and she talks and teaches to Chii about the past life and how to cope with things. Chii reads a book called "There's nobody in town" The book is about finding the one and only special person just for you. Chii learns alot from the book, however when she learns that she can not find her special person just for her, her heart will be broken and she will feel pain. Chii could be a threat to all the other persocoms if she does not find her one special person, so the question is could Chii find her own special person just for her? |
