| CLAMP began as "doujinshi" (fan comics) circle of artist in the late 1980's. Two of CLAMP's favourite subjects were doujinshi of "Saint Seya" and "Captain Tsubasa" During their first years of the doujinshi membership, the membership of the group shrank from a dozen to a group of 4 people who are know as CLAMP! CLAMP's first hit was Magic Knight Rayearth, with an anime series and games sold. CLAMP's biggest hit was Cardcaptor Sakura as it became the best selling girls manga in Japan & America. Cardcaptor Sakura was a huge success, having 3 anime season TV series, a range of merchandise sold, etc... I heard that CLAMP is currently working on a new manga, I wonder what it will be like???? |
