As the Newcastle Knights is a strongly supported rugby league club that has very loyal fans. Among five of us, 2 members - Wee Leng and Li Ying - are responsible to contact or keep in touch with client and designer. On the other hand, Yin Wan and Wei Yoke are responsible to jot down events that have taken place. Managers' User Manual

This website is created by Chilli Padi who acts as a manager to implement and maintain the website. The main objective of the management is providing a place that allows fans and players to communicate with each other, in order to bring the community closer together. Furthermore, this online community will allow users able to access from anywhere at anytime. Below is the manual set for all the management to follow in order to run and maintain Newcastle Knights Community in MSN Groups.

  • Click on the “Management Tools”, management able to get all the tools that will be needed, for example, Add a page, Invite others to join and etc.

  • Click on “Add a page” will allow management to add a custom Web page, a to-do list, a documents folder and more.

  • Click on the “Manage Pages” will provide functions for management to rename, reorder, hide, or even delete pages in the Web page. Thus, management can make the Web page the way they want it.

  • Click on “Manage the Member List” will list out members of the community. On the other hand, management can change a member’s role and accept or deny membership applications.

  • Click on the “Adjust Your Group Settings” will allow management to update the description; change policy settings and categories, even delete the group.  

  • Click on the “View Your Member Profile” will allow management to change the nickname, add some other details, and see how much storage space has been used.

  • Click on the “Manage Your Storage Space”, management can read how much space they have been used. On the other hand, the can delete any pictures or documents or attachments to make room for more. 

  • Click on the “Check Your E-mail Settings” will help management to decide how and when they receive e-mail. In addition, they can change their email address and visibility.

  • Click on the “Invite Others to Join”, so that management can send e-mail invitations to friends, family, co-workers, and team-mates in order to ask them to join the community.

  • Click on the “Send a Message to Your Group” in order to send a message to all the members, so that member can read it in their e-mail or on the message board.

  • Click on the “Send E-mail to Other Managers” to send a private e-mail to the other managers and assistant managers of the group.

  • Click on the “Send an Announcement to All members” to sent a message to the inboxes on all members, regardless of their e-mail settings.

 

Members' User Manual

There are two ways for people to get in to our community, the first method is as below:-

  1. Open the webpage by the address below: http://groups.msn.com/NewcastleKnightsCommunity/home.msnw

  2. If you are member of MSN, you can click on the “Sign in” (on the left top side) in order to access the members forum and file sharing.

  3. Click on the “Newcastle Knights logo” to enter index page.

Below is the user manual for each page categories:-

  • Main page includes latest news, coming soon and mini poll.

  • Click on the subtitles of latest news will show the detail of the news.

  • Click on the subtitles of coming soon will show group events.

  • After chosen a favour player and click on vote now and will show you the graph that how many votes obtain by each player.

  • Click on “What’s new” (on the left hand side of index page) – will bring out sponsor site and new messages from members or visitors.

  • Click on “Home” will bring you back to the first page of the webpage.

  • Click on “About the Game” will show you about the competition and the rule of game.

  • Click on “The Club” will show you the song of the club and the details of the player by click on the picture.

  • Click on the “Players’ Birth Date” show all the birth date and age of each player.

  • Click on the “important event” show you all the events’ date and details.

  • After pressing the “Online Chat” will let you to chat with the people in same interest.

  • Before that you need to put on your nickname in the box that provided and press chat.

  • “Members’ Forum” is for the member only. After the members logged in they can   read all the messages in the members’ forum.

  • Click on the “Pictures Gallery” will bring you 2 types of pictures such as knights and cheersquad.

  • “File sharing” is just for the members only.

  • Click on the “Score Board” will bring you ladders, match results and player stats.

  • After pressing the “link” will show you some links about Newcastle Knights.

How to become a member

  1. Click on the “interest to join” at http://groups.msn.com/NewcastleKnightsCommunity/home.msnw

  2. Fill up the form by all your details and press again “join now”.

  3. After that will show you about your membership request has been submitted.
