Hello again, from Children of Tien-Shan in Balykchy, Kyrgyz Republic.
We have been very busy here as we continue our work with our families in crisis and with the government on the introduction of foster care legislation. |

October 10, 2008, we provided sports equipment to two schools here in Balykchy. The sports equipment was donated by Dutch Church Aid organization in collaboration with Children Network, Kyrgyz Republic. The sports equipment was worth about $2000 and it was provided for children who can�t afford to participate in sports clubs. The children at these two schools showed their appreciation and welcomed the sports equipment by presenting us with a friendly sports competition. The new equipment included soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, hula hoops, gymnastic mats, and board games. After the sports competition, the children received scarves from a Dutch Soccer Team, Renders FC. Below are some pictures of the events and the children enjoying their new sports equipment. |
