| In order to involve the community in helping the children of Balykchy and to give to the community of children at large, we have different events over the year to accomplish this. We also give to the community by sharing our knowledge with the children and families. Christmas, New Year's and other celebrations and events are provided for our target group and other needy children as a fun way to give and to involve the community. Among the many events held, there has been a food drive, buying clothes for children using money from donors, and giving school supplies to children from our organization and the community. Education is an important part of our focus with children, whether it be in the center or at public schools. This is why we have been providing HIV/AIDS trainings for youth in the community at local schools. The trainings focus on education and awareness about HIV/AIDS. |

| We recently hosted a Shoebox Event made possible by Samaritan's Purse from the UK. Samaritan's Purse donated gifts put together in shoeboxes and they were given to over 500 children in the commmunity and surrounding villages.
