Spring has arrived and along with it came a team from the UK�s Samaritan�s Purse. A team of nine people came to visit our organization and brought with them donations of gifts that they gave to poor children from the community. We are calling it the Shoebox Event. Over 500 children in Balykchy and surrounding villages received shoeboxes filled with goodies!
After distributing the shoeboxes here in Balykchy, the team, continued on to other villages around Lake Issyk-kul to hold more Shoebox Events. The team went on to distribute an additional 445 shoeboxes for a total of 1000 shoeboxes given to children in the Issyk-Kul region! We were so happy to host the team and are very grateful that Samaritan�s Purse could help the children in Issyk-Kul.
