| Our organization has undergone many changes since its inception in November 2000, but we are always seeking to meet the needs of children and their families in crisis. Because of a change in the financial support for our Crisis Center, we have had to think of how to provide quality care for the children who are in crisis while using only the limited funds available to us . In the past, we had our Crisis Center in a large building that also housed our offices and meeting rooms. With funds from Tearfund, we purchased a house and with money from private donors we were able to remodel and equip the home with furniture and made it into our crisis center. We have staffed the Crisis Center using a foster family. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| For this month�s feature, we want to welcome that new foster family! Talie and Sultanat are our new foster parents. They have 3 girls of their own who live with them. They have received training from our organization on how to care for foster children. This foster family will care for foster children as well as receive children who are in crisis situations for short term placement in our new crisis center. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Previously, we had 8 children who were living in the former crisis center taken care of by a rotating staff.. Of those, 5 have been successfully returned to relatives. There were 3 children remaining, Kyrgyz siblings, 1 girl and 2 boys ages 14, 11 and 10, who need long term foster care. These 3 foster children are living with Talie and Sultanat at our new crisis center. Recently we received a little Uzbek girl, age 1? who is available for adoption. She will live with Talie and Sultanat while an adoptive home is found and prepared. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| So for now, Talie and Sultanat are taking care of 7 children, all living in our new home (crisis center). Below is a photo of the family gathered around the dining room table. Please keep this family and children in your prayers. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We would also like to let you know that we are starting a new program at our Resource Center. Beginning on the 15th of July, we are going to prepare a nice hot lunch for about 30 poor children who live with their biological parents. The children will come every day during the week to eat, and then return to their families. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
