About Me

Sypnosis
The world is more convinient with the help of a new generation of computers, also known as Persocons. They appear in many forms, and the more popular ones take the form of humans. However they are costly and our main character here, Motosuwa Hideki, longs for one but he could not afford it. By chance, he saw a persocon (female form) in the rubbish dump. She was wrapped tightly with a plastic strap that makes her look like a mummy. He couldn't believe his luck! "Finders Keepers", so he decided to bring her home. However, he didn't notice something dropping out from the persocon. It appears to a diskette of some kind.

Hideki has trouble looking for the switch, and after 4 hours he finally found it in a very *unexpected* place (buy the comic and see for yourself, heeheee). When the persocon opens her eyes, the first sound she produces was "Chii" (hence the name Chii *duh*). The amazing thing is that, as Hideki finds out later, she doesn't have an OS but she could function. As the story progresses, Chii's alter ego, Black Chii appears. Black Chii seems to know things regarding Chii's past. Who is this mysterious Black Chii? What is the purpose of her appearance? Could Chii be the legendary Chobits series? How is Hideki's sweet landlady Chitose related to Chii? Will Shinbo and his relationship with his tuition teacher, Takako, work out? Can Hideki resist the temptation of falling in love with Chii, even though Minoru warned him not to fall in love with a persocon to prevent him from being sad in the future? I don't get credits or commission for advertising, but please buy the manga~! Book 5 (Japanese version) is already out, and I'd really recommend everyone to get a copy~! =3

*Just gotten information that in Japan, Chobits is currently running in a magazine called 'Young'. It is actually a magazine targeted at guys and it is in a way an ecchi magazine. Fans of Clamp (including me!) were shocked by their decision to run it in the magazine (which explains some sexy images and nudity in the manga Chobits).
