Comparision
*Spoilers ahead* So far I've only saw 9 episodes of the Chobits anime, (fan-subbed versions downloaded from my friend through mIRC) but I've spotted some differences in character profile. Characters whose profile remains the same as with the manga are not listed here.

Shinbo Hiroshi

In the manga, he stays in an apartment near where Takako sensei is staying. In the anime, he stays in the same apartment as Hideki, and both their landlady is Hibiya Chitose.

Oumura Yumi

In the manga, she is just a high school student working part time in the same bar as Hideki. In the anime however, she is the daughter of the bar's owner. Because the place is under staffed, her father hired her to help out. Hideki first met her when he is out job hunting. Yumi was pouring water and it accidently splashed Hideki. Yumi then got him changed into the bar's uniform while she dries his clothes. The other staff mistakens him for a new comer. However, Yumi's dad is pleased with his performance and decided to hire him.

The opening and ending songs are pretty cute, but I am rather disappointed with the way they presented it because it is pretty still and really, nothing to 'wow' about. The only thing that saves the otherwise boring clips are the songs. If only the director (same person who did Card Captor Sakura) will do something about it and create it as good as Sakura's opening! Besides altering a bit from the original plot, the anime has create a new story where Chii got sick because she needs a power recharge (something that CLAMP never mentioned). *this is my opinion, please do not feel offended and sue me!*
