This romantic comedy topped the movie charts this year, and has been selected for 'best film' in the near future. Starring Hugh Grant (Will) a hansom, rich, yet shallow and self absorbed man, who does nothin with his life, and plans to do nothing in the future, and he is content with this until along comes Marcus (Nicholas Hoult). Will wants a girlfriend. so much that he goes to S.P.A.T single parents alone together, posing as a single divorced dad!, in hope of finding an attractive blonde to sweep away. Quite the opposite, his journey there leads into a heep of lies, its here where he meets Fiona (Toni Collette) a single mother of one child (Marcus). He meets a mum, bonds with her and soon finds out that she has a friend who they could bond with together, Marcus has no dad, and is strugging at school (as a 12 year old boy usually does) he turns to Will. Will gradually befriends Marcus. As Will shops for Marcus buying him, cds, trainers etc. He becomes less self obsessed and thinks about others rather than himself. Thats when he meets Rachel (Rachel Wiesz) a bright beautiful single mum, with a 12 year old boy of her own. Will now finds out that love is hard, he has feelings for Marcus, Rachel and even wacky Fiona. When he puts himself on the line a number of things happen, that he didnt know would. Its a brilliant film, one with the London life attached to it. Truely portrays a good quality film, and with real life cutting edge scenes, just adds to the quality..
