Three Kiddie-Cats
Albuquerque, NM

The green-collered (just believe me on this one) cat is Eriogonum.
The pink-collered cat is Ocotea.
The yellow-collered cat is Nicotiana.

Our three cats are each named after different plant genera: Eriogonum, Ocotea, and Nicotiana.  I really enjoy botany, and the native flora deserves accolade.  Besides naming your cats after Latin named flora assures that their names are not confused with any other.  Friends and family aren't too happy with the choices, however. "Too difficult to remember!" they say, but they are coming around.

Here are links to a few photos of the plants we named each cat after.  Enjoy!
