Nicotiana is the newest addition to the family. She was one of 3 girls and 2 boys born February 29th, 1999 about a mile down the road. Her gangly legs, monster feet, and bat ears indicate that she will far outgrow her siblings. At 4 1/2 mo (July '99) she is almost as large as Ocotea (although Ocotea is quite small, weighing just shy of 6 lb).
Nicotiana is all legs, but in motion her true athletic prowess amazes--Nicotiana is definitely the sportman of the group. She never seems to tire of chasing, jumping, running, climbing....anything and everything. Nothing is too far, high, or impassable. Her high energy level keeps both Eriogonum and Ocotea in shape, and doesn't harm her in any way either. Nicotiana began her life with the world before her, and doesn't much enjoy the fact that she's basically an indoor cat. But on days when we feel like doing a lot of clean up, she and the other two get to go out for a few hours romp.
