Eriogonum

Eriogonum was our first kitten. We adopted him from a shelter. He was probably 10 weeks old at the end of October '98 when we brought him home, but he was itty-bitty. The rescuers don't know how long he was on the streets, but it was obvious that he needed a lot of caring. Of course he has been, and continues to be, thoroughly spoiled.

Since my father isn't a cat fan, Eriogonum stayed with my grandmother and Chlo, my grandmother's cat, during the Christmas holidays in MN. Life for E was peachy. He made a great friend who played the rough-and-tumble games that he loved--after he taught Chlo the concept of cat-play.

After visiting my folks with Eriogonum traveling calmly, but warmly on the non-driver's lap (we had negligible heat in the car), we decided definitively that Eriogonum needed a playmate. We were looking for another kitten Eriogonum's age before our cross-country trip, but it was not kitten season.
