Ocotea
A young Miss Ocotea....April 1999
Xmas 1999 - she had as much fun as we did!

After searching and searching, we finally came across an ad in the paper for a 6 mo old kitten; the same age as Eriogonum was at the time.  After one visit, Ocotea became the second child.

Ocotea is a true princess.  Her 1/2 Siamese heritage has no doubt contributed to her elegance and delicate walk.  Her graceful S-curved tail gives her presence away as she attempts to anonymously creep through the shadows. Her tail floats above her like a dainty flag.  Yet, possibly her best physical feature is her large, luminescent green eyes.

It is difficult to take a photo of her as she is always roaming--the huntress of the bunch!  No moving object is safe from her fine instint or reflexes (animal, vegetable, whatnot).  It's great knowing that there are no live insects crawling about, but it is disconcerting to find dead ones in one's clothes.  A little offering, I suppose.
