The CBC is a unique RPG Club because we
are the first to incorporate independent
chapters penned by different parties.
Just like any book or television series,
the main villain is never killed off in
the beginning. Rather, characters are
introduced, adventures unfold and a
journey takes place. The CBC runs in a
similar fashion, with many parallel
stories running adjacent to the main
plotline which traces the rise of the
Ancient Evil and his Servants.
Chapters are led by Club members and
usually run for up to a month in
duration. In each chapter, members usually share
information about their characters' past
and invent various types of villains to
engage the rest of the members into their
story. These villains are independent
from the main plotline but are essential
if we are to have an interesting
role-play. It also gives the RPG variety
and the theme can be anything the
storyteller's imagination can come up
with, as long as it's within the club
rules.
To participate in a chapter you must
follow the chapter leader's guidelines.
This means that if the chapter leader
specifies a location one must travel to,
or requests that certain monsters be
battled, you must adhere to these
instructions. Think of a chapter leader
as a movie director who is guiding
his/her actors in a new film production. If you're
not a chapter leader then you're the
actor, and you must follow the movie
director's prompts if you are to keep the
movie running smoothly.
Of course members are free to skip a chapter if time or other constrains prevent them from logging on regularly. However, once the chapter begins, the chapter leader must participate and log on regularly considering that the continuation of the story depends on him/her. If the chapter leader is absent for more than 3 days, without providing a substitute chapter leader or giving ample action for the smooth continuation of the chapter during his or her absence, the monitors will discontinue the chapter. Therefore make sure that you arrange a replacement and inform the members of the CBC of your absence and consequent return.

on what's already transpired. Chapters
that are marked with asterisks (*) belong
to the Club's main storyline regarding
the Ancient Evil.

chapter, please notify the Club
Moderators via the Club Message-Board or
via e-mail. Once approved, your chapter
will be listed here for future reference.
