The Cherry Blossoms Club, better known as the CBC will be celebrating its eighth birthday in July 2008. It is one of the oldest Sailor Moon RPGs on YAHOO! and boasts over 750 members, however we would like to point out that like every other Club on the web, we too have our 'silent observers' who prefer to read up on RPG posts and not interact with others.

The CBC was founded by Hekate (YAHOO ID: Zoicite_56) and was a branch of the Cherry Blossoms Shrine - a website dedicated to the villains of Sailor Moon. The Cherry Blossoms Shrine is no more because it was high maintenance, but the CBC is still going strong. Hekate kept the club going with the help of moderators even though many of her Club affiliates slowly disappeared due to diminishing interest in the Sailor Moon series. During this time she enlisted Cerberus (YAHOO ID: Egeria32) to be her Co-Founder and with his help she managed to regain the CBC's popularity with Internet role players via advertising and mailing lists.

The CBC is one of the few remaining successful Sailor Moon Role Play Clubs that is based on a fantasy environment. We are presently ranked # 1 in the top 1025 YAHOO! Sailor Moon RPGs which is our greatest achievement to date. We feel that our success is related to our unique Chapters system. Chapters are led by Club members and usually run for up to a month in duration. In each chapter, members share information about their characters' past and invent various types of villains to engage the rest of the members into their story. The CBC is a relaxed role playing environment, meaning anything is possible within the boundaries of good taste and any character or creature is allowed as long as it's not Godlike. We are one of the very few RPG Clubs of this style available on YAHOO! because statistics show that the majority of Sailor Moon clubs prefer to role play scenarios based strictly on the Sailor Moon anime series or the Manga and won't include made-ups or characters from videogames, movies or books.

Another important point to mention is that the CBC does not approve of sexual scenarios or explicit language, which most Sailor Moon RPG Clubs tolerate nowadays. We are the proof that by not including cartoon porn or role playing sexual enactments in RPG's does not necessarily lead to decreased membership. We at the CBC strive to recruit members of all ages and gender as long as they foster a friendly and pleasant environment for all.

The CBC has two methods of access. You can either sign up to recieve all Club posts via E-mail or you can log into the Club Message Board featured on YAHOO! Some might find it more convenient to sift through the E-mails while others don't want the E-mail clutter and prefer to read up on posts at the Club-site. Either way works and the choice is yours.
