None of the Halliwell sisters wanted to move into their late grandmother's statuesque, yet antiquated house in the hills of San Francisco, but for Prue, a novice museum curator and Piper, a beginner chef, it was a cost-effective way save money while keeping the house in the family. Their housing plan is altered, however, when the free-spirited Phoebe unexpectedly moves back in, reinstating the feud between oldest, career-oriented Prue and youngest child Phoebe, who up and left town after Prue accused her of chasing after her boyfriend. As the trio struggle to understand their family history and overcome their individual differences in order to live together under one roof, the sisters Halliwell are also faced with dark, supernatural forces existing that can further complicate their lives. Always around to lend a supportive and logical ear to any situation is Inspector Andy Trudeau, who once had romantic feelings for Prue when they were classmates. But as Prue, Piper and Phoebe learn more about their otherworldly powers and slowly gain trust in one another, they are only beginning to understand the strength that their newly formed sisterly bond can withstand.
