Charlotte was one of the first women in the Warren line. She lived in Colonial Virginia, where she lived with colonial witches in her coven. They acknowledged the magical powers that Charlotte's daughter, Melinda, would possess. Charlotte was kidnapped by a woman named Ruth who wanted Melinda's powers for herself. However in the episode "All Halliwell's Eve!", The Charmed Ones were able to travel back to Colonial Virginia and rescue Charlotte before Melinda was born. Piper helps deliver Charlotte's baby, Melinda Warren.

Melinda Warren was the first member of the family to come to America, she emigrated from England to Massachussetts in the 1600's. Melinda Warren left England and arrived in America in 1654 with her two-year-old daughter, Pruedence. Her descendants include branches of the Grants, the Morgans, and the Marston. Never forgetting her knowledge of witch craft, Melinda Warren possessed three special powers: The first, telekinesis, or moving objects using only the power of her mind. The second, clairvoyance, or the ability to see the future. And her third power is temporal stasis. or the ability to freeze or to stop time. Melinda Warren's powers were discovered when her lover, Hugh Montgomery, betrayed her to the townspeople. She was tried for witchcraft, found guilty, and sentenced to be burned at the stake - a sentence that was never given before. The townspeople tied her to a stake in the center of the village. The executioner waved a flaming torch before her and asked if she had any last words. This is what she said : "You may kill me, but you cannot kill my kind. With each generation, the Warren witches will grow stronger and stronger - until, at last, three sisters will arrive. Together, these three sisters will be the most powerful witches the world has ever known. They will be the "Charmed Ones". The executioner then touched his torch to the straw beneath Melinda's feet. She died horribly - but her power lives in every Warren witch's heart. It will be a joyous day when the Charmed Ones are begotten.

Prudence was Melinda's daughter and Charlotte's granddaughter. After Melinda was burned at the stake, Prudence was raised as an orphan in another home. She was the one that carried on the Warren line of witches. Prue Halliwell is named after Melinda's daughter Prudence Warren.

Brianna was the daughter of Prudence. She had the power of Telekinesis, like Prue, but to a greater level. Brianna was the one who disgraced Gabriel, a Lord of War. She used her power of Telekinesis to take away Gabriel's sword by throwing it away for hundreds of miles. Obviously, she was stronger than Prue Halliwell. Having been shamed, Gabriel tried to get his sword back by attacking Prue Halliwell, but was unsuccessful.

Grams was born on June 23rd, 1937. Grams was married six times but Jack Halliwell is Patty's father. Grams is Patty's mother and the sisters' grandmother. She raised the Charmed Ones after Patty died. She was a powerful witch and she had the power of telekinesis. She really had her power figured out and protected The Charmed Ones as best as she could. She binded the sister's powers when they were young so that the warlock Nicholas couldn't hurt them. She was going to permanately bind their powers but she died before she had the chance. She died of a heartattack on March 3rd, 1998. When she died, the powers of The Charmed Ones were unlocked by Phoebe when she read the incantation in the Book of Shadows.

Patty is the mother of the Charmed Ones. She was born on April 5th, 1950. She was married to Victor Bennett (The Halliwells' father) but she divorce her husband and worked at a diner to pay the bills. She lived in the Halliwell Manor with her three daughters and with her mother. Patty had an affair with her whitelighter named, Sam Wilder. That affair brought, yet another Charmed One to the world named Paige Matthews. Unfortunately, whitelighters and witches weren't accepted so Patty and Sam have to gave up their daughter, so they brought their daughter to Sister Agnes. She had the power of temporal stasis, or to freeze time like her daughter Piper. She died on February 28th, 1978 while fighting a water demon. Her daughters never really got to know her and she is a big issue in their lives. She attended Piper's wedding as a human as a gift from the elders. She returns as a ghost every now and then but otherwise she is not around.

Prue, Piper and Phoebe Halliwell are the original Charmed Ones. They are the most powerful good witches in the world when they use The Power Of Three. Prue was the eldest sister and she had the power of Telekinesis and Astral Projection. Her death was caused by Shaks, a demon sent by The Source. Prue was the strongest of the three, but now Piper and Phoebe must look for the half-sister Paige for The Power Of Three. Piper was the middle sister and she had the power to freeze time and Pyrokinesis. Pyrokinesis is the ability to blow up things by speeding up their molecules. Piper fell in love with her whitelighter Leo and now they are married. Phoebe was the youngest and the most vulnerable. She had the powers of Premonitions and Levitation. She fell in love with one of the most powerful demons named Belthazor. Phoebe tried many times to save him until finally in "All Hell Breaks Loose!", she reverses a spell that was put on him.

Without Prue, The Power of Three was destroyed. Piper and Phoebe found out that their strength can be recovered if they found their long, lost, half-sister named Paige. She was the daughter of Patty and Sam. Her power seems to combine Telekinesis and Orbing. She can move things from one spot to another by making them disappear and reappear. Since Paige is the youngest, she will have the hardest time learning not to use her power for personal gain.

Presumably named after the first witch in her line, Melinda Halliwell Wyatt is the child of Piper and Leo after several years they have met. When the sisters went to the future for the first time Piper was stunned to find herself mother to this sweet little girl.Never the less Melinda lived with her mother in the Halliwell manor.Because of the witch trials in the future, Melinda was forbidden to use her powers.

Victor is the husband of Patty Halliwell as well as the father of Prue, Piper, and Phoebe. He and Patty is got a divorce because he cannot cope up and cannot accept that his wife as well as his daughters are all witches, not just witches but the most powerful witches of all. And he hates whitelighter because he believes that the whitelighter of his wife (Patty) which is Sam (Paige's father) try to steal his wife from him. He cannot stand that he does not able to protect his family when demons attack that's why he left Patty which is pregnant with Phoebe and his two other daughters which is little Prue and little Piper.
