What is
Charlie's Place?
Charlie's Place, located in Westfield, PA, is a federally funded after-school program for 8-15 year olds. It is associated with the Tioga County Partnership for Community Health.

Charlie's Place, along with all activities and programs offered by and associated with it, is absolutely free of charge. There is a registration form that must be filled out and signed by parents/guardians but there are no restrictions, other than age, on who may attend. Older teens and adults are welcome to attend as
volunteers, and visitors are always welcomed.

Charlie's Place is a safe, secure place for children to come and learn new skills, play games, participate in sporting events and tournaments, receive academic assistance, eat healthy snacks,  participate in programs such as Fit for Life, talk to peers and adults, make new friends, relax, watch movies, do homework, surf the Internet, attend special events (such as parties), learn about healthy behaviors and diet, or just hang out and be themselves.

Charlie's Place is open Monday through Friday from 2:30 - 6:00 p.m. (12:00 - 6:00 p.m. on days when there is an early dismissal and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. when there is no school) during the school year and from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the summer. It is closed on weekends, some holidays and whenever school is closed due to inclement weather.

There are generally at least three staff members supervising attendees whenever Charlie's Place is open and a sign in/out sheet is used to keep track of attendees. All conflicts and concerns are mediated or dealt with as soon as possible and parents/guardians will be notified if a child is having a particularly difficult time.

For more information about Charlie's Place, please click on the links found on the right-hand side of this page. You will find more information about what is provided and what is expected, as well as copies of some forms and pictures of Charlie's Place and Charlie's Place activities (none of the pictures featuring our attendees are labeled, nor are any of the children's last names ever listed -- this is due to the age of our attendees as well as our concern for their safety and privacy). You will also find pages designed by the children attending Charlie's Place, although you will not find any personal information about them on these pages (again, due to their age and privacy/safety concerns).

Please feel free to browse the rest of this site and learn a little more about our program!

Have a nice day!!
