Ramona Alice Sanchez Boyd
1910-2003

Ramona passed away on 28 October 2003, in Dade City Fl.

A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was the descendant of a very early pioneer family to the Southwest before it was part of Mexico or the United States.

As a military wife she traveled much of the world with her husband, Allen Boyd, and raised three children in the process. They retired in Monterey California, where she held the post of Director of the Montessori Program at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey. She was a member of the Carmel Mission Basilica Parish in Carmel.

She is survived by her sons Raymond M. of Broomfield, Allen W. of Monterey and Ramona Klima-Vasko of Dade City, Florida, 11 grand-children and 31 great-grand-children.

Mrs. Boyd was the last of 9 children born to Ricardo and Rosalia Vigil Sanchez. Mrs. Boyd, a resident of Seaside, CA, was a frequent visitor to Broomfield since 1970. A memorial mass will be said on Friday, 5 December 2003, 12:00 pm at Nativity Church in Broomfield. She will be interned at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Boulder Valley, CO.
