If you have any questions regarding any of the following, or other game issues, please feel free to

Those wishing to join the game should consider these initial criteria:
1) They should live in or around the Edmonton, Alberta area.
2) They should be able to transport themselves to the Gamers Lair located at 3528 - 137 Avenue NW.

4) They should have an interest in the superhero genre.

Those wishing to participate can arrive at Gamers Lair on game day, with the following understanding:

2) Player slots will be allocated at the beginning of each session on a first come, first serve basis. Slots will not be reserved.
3) In the case of a simultaneous arrival, preference for a slot will be shown to players who have participated in previous sessions and who have established a positive relationship with the group.
4) Players will choose their character from a pre-made selection. Each character will come with stats, a variety of possible personalities, and a setting specific history.*also see point 7
5) Players who participate regularly will be able to maintain the same character and advance them accordingly.
6) Players that have a character and then fail to attend a session for a period of greater then two (2) months will loose any claim to the character and it will become available to new players.
7) Experienced M&M players, and players who have established a positive relationship with the group, will be permitted to develop their own characters, provided said character is suitable to the setting and meets with GM approval. Such characters will remain the intellectual property of the creator and will not become available to other players, regardless of attendance.
8) Players who arrive on game day to find that all available player slots have been filled will not be able to play in that days session. These players are encouraged to begin a side game, participate in other Gamers Lair games (a variety of collectable miniature or card games are available), or stay and be a spectator of the session.
8) Players choosing to be spectators of the session are asked to be respectful of the game. Please keep any side conversations to a minimum and limit any contributions of comments or jokes to appropriate moments.

Players involved in a session have the following expectations upon them:
1) Understand that Champions of FREEDOM is a team oriented game.
Loner heroes will not be an available option and though conflict may be a naturally occurring result of dramatic character interaction, the intent of the game is for the characters to work together and support one another. Characters that purposely undermine or work against the team will not be tolerated. Additionally private storylines may receive some attention as subplots but will not be allowed to dominate the spotlight.
2) Understand that their character is a hero and act accordingly.
Each character was chosen by The Justice as a worthy recipient of great power. They stand for justice and liberty, though they may go about achieve them in their own unique fashion. Characters that use their powers for personal gain or to bully others will not be tolerated.
3) Understand the setting.
Though briefing sheets will be provided to new players, it is encouraged that they take the time to review the website and become familiar with Beacon City & its history. This will add to their understanding of the setting and aid their ability to make intelligent decisions therein.
