ABF 350 Method of Instruction/Grade Determination Lectures/Hands-on Demonstrations (Interactive Computer Lab)/Group Projects/Case Studies. The lectures, readings, and computer lab exercises will introduce you to a number of key concepts and timely issues related IT applications in organizations. In addition to the lecture and reading material, students will gain hands-on experience with the organizational applications of IT through assignments involving the development of spreadsheet-based information systems, database systems, PowerPoint presentations and web page development, using native HTML. Students will be introduced to ethical, social (diversity), legal, and global perspectives/aspects of Information Systems.
Remember: Any assignment turned in late (past the due date/time) may receive no more than 90% credit, and lose 30% each subsequent class period. Thus, Grade earned -times- 90% (60% or 30% or 0%) = Grade on project. A = 90-100% (675-750) B = 80-89.9% (600-674) C = 70-79.9% (525-599) D = 60-69.9% (450-524) F = Below 60% (449 and below) NOTE: Students are entitled to and deserve respect, courtesy and tolerance, regardless of their race, background,
religious affiliation, gender, sexual preference, disability or any other perceived difference. Likewise, faculty, staff and
fellow students deserve the same from other students, and thus, the professionalism points. Therefore, within this class setting, no matter what communication mode
is used, every effort will be made to create a safe haven for diverse thoughts, experiences and communication.
