CHL Teams
Boston Massacre  (2005-present)
One of the four new teams to join the CHL in its comeback season, the Massacre finished in second place in the regular season, and beat Las Vegas in seven games in the first round of the playoffs, before getting swept by Northampton in the CHL Finals.  Players such as Peter Forsberg, Eric Staal, Alexander Ovechkin, Dany Heatley, and Marian Gaborik, helped the Massacre have a very successful inagural season.  They won their first title in 2007-08, upsetting the heavily favored Cambridge Goons.  They are owned by Andy Meyer.
Indianapolis Huns/Cambridge Goons  (2005-present)
Owned by Bill Mullen, the Huns struggled mightily in their first season, finishing in last place, 22 points out of a playoff spot.  After being undermanned from the start of the season, the team suffered more when Ziggy Palffy and Mario Lemieux retired within a week of each other.  The team does have a core of good players to build around, however, including Jaromir Jagr, Ilya Kovalchuk, Alexei Yashin, Vincent Lecavlier, and Marty Turco.  In 2006, ownership of the team turned over to John and Tom O'Neill, who moved the team to Canada and renamed them the Cambridge Goons.  The Goons have made 2 appearances in the CHL Finals since then, but have yet to win a title.
Kansas City Goatcheese/Indianapolis Ghetto Booties  (2005-present)
The team that began play as the Kansas City Goatcheese in 2005 under the ownership of Chris Sedlock was taken over in Agust of 2007 by Bill Mullen, former owner of the Indianapolis Huns (now Cambridge Goons).  The team was moved to Indianapolis and renamed the Ghetto Booties.
Pittsburgh Greenmen  (2005-present)
Another team that joined the CHL during its comeback season, the Greenmen had a successful first season for owner Mike Resetar.  Pittsburgh reached the playoffs and took the eventual champion Cougars to 6 games in their opening-round series.  Mats Sundin, Joe Thornton, Erik Cole, Marian Hossa, Bill Guerin, and late addition Jonathon Cheechoo all helped Pittsburgh with the success they had in their first season.
New York Necromancers (2006-present)
The Necromancers were an expansion team that began play in 2006.  Owner Jeff Cheng's team was successful in their first season, reaching the playoffs, but missed them in 2007-08.
Colorado Wolfpack (2006-present)
The Wolfpack joined the CHL as an expansion team in 2006.  Owned by Cougars owner Greg Karpuk, the Wolfpack won the Hanson Division in 2006-07, has failed to advance past the first round of the playoffs in their first 2 seasons.
