Francisco di Arnaud

(1838-1915)

In Alternate History, there are always TLs such as, "What if Napoleon had never been born?", or "What if Sir Francis Drake died in the fire that consumed his boyhood home", or "What if Hitler drowned as a baby?". It is popular to remove "great" figures from history and play around with the world in the wake of their unknown abscence.

However, sometimes people who died in OTL could have changed our world dramatically. This TL deals with the question, "What if Francisco Sabatino had not been killed in the Revolution of 1848 in Milan?". In this ATL, young Francisco escapes Milan, and becomes Prime Minister of Italy in its early years, and his able leadership provides Italy with the direction it was often in need of in its early history.

I have been told that the TL site has a lot of visitors, and I want to thank everyone who has visited the website after I created it this summer. I am not currently writing new installments, but if you are interested in new parts, please e-mail me at [email protected] and I will try to finish the Great War.
