2.1. The objects of the Association shall be to: -
Support, promote & preserve the folk arts
Encourage the use of acoustic musical instruments
Encourage folk of all ages and abilities, to sing or play a musical instrument
Promote the interest in and performance of Australasian music and song, and those of allied cultures representing the diverse backgrounds and heritage of the Australian peoples.
Encourage a critical interest in the history of Australia and it�s allied cultures, as expressed in music and songs
Preserve and encourage the culture of the traditional Australian �bush dance� and it�s associated activities
Offer members a place to perform in an encouraging and supportive environment
Encourage the writing of original songs and music
Promote the enjoyment of �live� music.
2.2 To do all things as may be incidental to the attainment of such objects. |
