St Patricks Day with Vin Garbutt
Begorrah and what a Saint Patricks it was at the Yacht Club.

Vin Garbutt on his extensive world tour and celebrating his 35th Anniversary as a performer, returned to Port Lincoln with his inimitable style. Delivering the 100 plus audience a night of expert entertainment featuring tin whistle, guitar, thought provoking lyrics and unique humour with Middlesborough accent. Songs like England My England, The Troubles of Erin, Darwin to Dili, The One Legged Beggar, thought provoking, moving.. and delivered in his own heartfelt musical style, interspersed with 'side aching' wit. The unforgettable word art of his introductions to Believe Me if all those Endearing Young Charms and the story of Mary the Rose of Tralee, bringing new meaning to the love songs written so many years ago.

Vin was supported by our own resident Irish Troubador
Matt Murray together with Brian Murray and Ron Higgins, all of Cellar Club fame (Boston House, 2nd Sat. each month). Starting the evenings entertainment with expert musicianship on banjo and guitars and great vocals from Matt and Ron. Brians rendition on guitar, touched with Flamenco, of the old Irish traditional piece the Devils Dream was a musical highlight.

A wonderful nights entertainment with world class entertainer Vin Garbutt if he ever comes to Port Lincoln again, which we sincerely hope, a performance not to be missed.
