Eve and Chris Flashback Moment

This week's flashback comes from December of 1997.  Chris and Eve shared a dinner together that Eve cooked and over martinis the two settled down on the sofa to discuss Christmas magic that somehow transpired into a kiss.

(Chris has been listening to Eve rather intently as she goes on and on about the magic of Christmas.  He explains he's rather cynical about the world around him to which Eve continues on further about the joys of Christmas)

Eve: (very animated as she talks) I still believe that magical things can happen at Christmas.  I mean I've seen it happen to other people and I refuse to deny myself the possibility that maybe something unexpected and exciting and magical could happen at Christmas.

Chris: (disbelieving) Exciting and magical?

Eve: Like in a Christmas in Connecticut when the visiting soldier grabs Barbara Stanwick (Chris is smiling slightly) and kisses her in the horse drawn sleigh under the moonlight, you know?

Chris: I never had you pegged for a closet romantic.

Eve: Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Chris: Maybe you're right. (With that he leans across the sofa and kisses her.  The kiss deepens and they part for a second as she looks at him before kissing him again. Finally they part and Chris looks at her) Is that anything like you were talking about?

Eve: (lets out a sigh as she turns slightly) That was uh, somewhere in the ballpark.  (They two look at one another for a moment as she looks a bit on edge)
