placements (Targeted
Wage Subsidy and Youth
Internships) can be initiated by the participant, or jointly put forward
by the prospective employer and the participant. The prospective
employer must complete and sign an application and provide a job description.
Internships
should provide an in depth explanation of the duties and responsibilities
of the participant and how these functions correspond with the participants
course of study.
For
training assistance, we require a formal application to be completed and
signed, a quotation from the institute, a course curriculum, a book list,
a letter of acceptance, a resume and a cover letter outlining your career
goals.
Who Can Apply? All OMAA/CMC MEMBERS
And Employers: All private sector, and for-profit or not-for-profit
businesses from most sectors, band/tribal councils, public health and education
institutions and municipal governments. Employers must be willing
to enter into a contractual agreement with OMAA.
