Refinished.
Applied approximately 6 coats of tung. Worked it over once with 4/0 steel oil lubed with tung oil finish. Wasn't happy at that point with the finish, so put on one more coat of tung, wiping it down hard.
This is where it's going to stay (or at least until I decide to take the tung and shellac off of it and possible try it again :)
Carlo is still visible (doesn't show up so well in this pic, but it really hasn't disappeared much from when I started
The only problem area I have (and that may cause me to strip at a later point and refinish) is an area of the butt that set up kind of weird. You can't see it so well in the picture, but the finish near the butt has an odd, dull, feel/look to it
