Blessed are the Pure Card Engaged Card Soul Soap Card Purity Pin Mission rosary and brown scapulars ~ St. Teresa of Avila, Mendota, IL We make mission rosaries and brown scapulars for the missions or to anyone that wants them for free. We do take donations. We had a parish ask for 700 rosaries and the same in brown scapulars which we gave for free, but they gave us a donation. We have been doing this for 2 1/2 years and so far we have given away over 7,000 of each. We make regular rosaries and rosary bracelets to sell to make money for us to buy more materials to give away. Our prices are low compared to what you get in the religious stores and catalogs. Most bracelets are 5 dollars to 15 dollars. Rosaries are 9 to 60 dollars. They are all hand made. Flowers at the Foot of the Cross ~ Our Lady of Aylesford, Darien, IL Flowers at the Foot of the Cross is a way to bring St. Thereses Little Way to people who are in nursing homes or home-bound. | Carmelite Missions ~ Chapter of the Holy Face, Darien, IL Our Chapter wanted a corporate apostolate where there would be a movement from individualism to community. Individual apostolates are good, but a corporate one calls for a new level of commitment and learning to work together to build a better world together. An awareness of Christ in our midst deepened and we found Gods giftedness in our members. We asked Fr. Pat McMahon if he could suggest a Carmelite Mission for us to adopt in the third world. He suggested Peru. We also send a periodic donation to the Bishop in Peru on behalf of our confessor who asked to be included in the project. |
