WEDNESDAY September 02, 1998 Last Day Of The Sony Video Shoot Arrived at 8am at E Street Alley for the final day of shooting. Got dressed and lined up for makeup and hair. Final shots of the band and dancers were taken today. It was a very busy day, and we had to repeat several of the takes. Lots of waiting again... Lunch was two different types of pasta, a large salad, and bread sticks. Dancers did their jam session in a semi circle with featured dancers taking turns in the center. A flamenco dancer, a ballerina, and two tap dancers were also featured. I played live hi-hat while the two tap dancers shot their scene, shot live in order to hear the tapping of their shoes. We finished right about 5pm and the task of packing up my drums and things was quite a job, considering I had to bring everything upstairs and compete with the workers that were removing the stage.
I don't know how I got through the Schooner's gig. It was very hard, being that the band spent the entire day finishing the Sony shoot. I started acting kind of crazy on stage because I was so tired. When I got home from the Schooner's gig I was still able to read my email and post to the barflies and bto lists. It had been an extremely long, grueling day.
CDs Played Today:
