vacation
A few days into my vacation and I'm already tired! I guess my wife and I have turned it into a mission to see how much stuff we can get done. I thought I'd be resting up but not entirely. At least I'm vacationing from the band. I'm feeling pretty good this week. I can't complain about much. I'm just trying to enjoy life a little, take it easy. Much of the things we needed done we've gotten out of the way earlier this week, like taking the minivan to the mechanic to get the timing belt changed. Started painting the interior of the house; this project probably will last the entire summer. I'm just going to take my time and get as much done as I can. We're going to Disneyland tomorrow, the family and I. Then stay at the Disney Hotel and The Queen Mary on Friday. Just a little excursion out of town mainly for the enjoyment of our children. I had my new spectator shoes resoled so that they have better traction on my bass drum and hihat pedals. Went to see my youngest son perform at school yesterday. He completed kidergarten and his class performed a sing and dance show for the families. Then each of them were given certificates of graduation from kidergarten. Ate at The Broken Yolk in Pacific Beach yesterday. It had been years since we've been there, so my wife and I decided to have one of their vegetarian omlettes. Just getting a lot of little house projects done this week. Trying to get all of these things done. Nothing spectacular happening this week except for our trip to Anaheim and Long Beach.
