CheeseBurger In Paradise

This restaurant was amazing.

Not only is it in the coolest location on the planet - Hawaii's Waikiki Beach - but the food was just so good that we had to go back. Four times. As if there weren't already enough reasons to go to Hawaii?

These were World Class burgerers. Since first tasting their amazing fare, I knew it was my destiny to bring this level of burger-perfection home to Perth.

Each burger came in a woven basket with fries, and a whole tasty pickle served on the side!

And the taste, OMG the taste! The flavour was just perfect, every single time! Money may not be able to buy happiness, but it can buy you burgers. And they're better.

Grill'd Carousel

Movie and a burger. The perfect date.

Downstairs from the cinemas are a selection of eateries heralding your hungry bellies. First and foremost on my list is burgers at Grill'd.

A very well-known brand now, the chain has restaurants all over Australia, and this economy of size gives them the ability to offer customers high level standards.

Their selection is thorough, and their burgers are excellent. But the burger that really warrants a special mention is their non-main-menu, almost experimental slider. They say these mini burgers have changing recipes, but the one with wasabe mayo needs to stay.

Only a tiny burger? Not fair, because the flavour combination of the beef pattie, hot wasabe mustard with tangy mayo and crunchy coleslaw was a revelation in the world of burgers. It was just right with heat, meat, tang and sweet, and I know it's worthy of more prominent real estate on the Grill'd menu.

Flipside

Clean, fresh, high quality ingredients, burgers made with love.

Who would have thought that such a simple approach could achieve such excellence? These little guys do it better than the big guys. Their stores are simple, clean, and have the feel of a young entrepreneurial business venture. Their menu is thorough, and everything on it tastes sensational.

Fresh sourdough buns make the perfect sandwich. Thick juicy patties and crunchy fresh salads. Outstanding recipes for every type of burger. Flipside know what they're doing.
Never greasy, but clean, fresh, filling and wholesome is every Flipside burger's summary conclusion.

Special mention goes to their vegie-burgers which are by far the best perk on their menu. Not because I don't love a cheese & bacon beefburger, but because nobody else gets the vegie burger right! This is a whole field of potential brilliance in burgerland, with more flavours possible than any meat burger. Flipside's Kenny burger leads the way.
