These centers and learning games are worked on throughout the
month of December. Hope you get some ideas from the ones below.

Addition - Add sums on Christmas trees. Use the ornament counters to help you. Place the present under the tree with the correct sum.

Reading - Read the Christmas rebus sentences on sentence strips. Click below for example.

Rhyming Words - Color rhyming word pairs on the reindeer antlers. (Teacher's Helper)

Subtraction - Complete the subtraction problem on Frosty's tummy using tiny elf gifts (unifix cubes :0). Find his magic hat with the correct answer and place on his head.

Sequencing - Sequence Santa or snowman pictures and write about each step 1-4.

Phonics - Blend sounds to read 3 letter words on half of the gingerbread man and match it to the other half that shows the picture of the word.
Long/Short Vowels - Sort presents by long and short O. (This game is one students complete after finishing all the others, because it can be difficult for some, but right on target for others.)

Number Sequence - Sequence numbers on wreaths and stockings from 0 to 25.
Wreath Sequence
Letter Sounds - Identify letters and use holiday pictionary to write holiday words beginning with that letter.

Money - count pennies on ornaments. Match to ornament showing the correct amount.

Counting - Match dots on Santa's beard to number on candy cane. (This is a file folder game in one of the Carson Dellosa books.)
