You can do just about anything with a sandbag that you can do with other weights; dead- lifts, curls, overhead presses, shoulder and carry, get on floor and press it, etc., etc. Just use your imagination. The difference about sand bags is the almost constantly shifting weight, 
working muscles in a way that regular weights won't.

You can make them any weight you want. I made mine out of an old canvas duffle bag, put a heavy duty trash bag in it and 50 pounds of sand. Tape the trash bag with duct tape. You don't need sand getting in your eyes in the middle of a Turkish Get-up.
