Links Top Ten List
I don't usually go websurfing that much nowadays. Most of my time in an Internet cafe usually goes to checking my e-mail for any job application acceptance or rejection letters. As a result, I really don't visit that many websites. Nevertheless, I would like to present what I consider to be the top ten websites for people who share my tastes and interests. I hope you enjoy these sites as much as I do.
#10 Friendster
Friendster's a great place to look up old friends and make new ones. It also provides a way to prove the so-called theory of six degrees of separation. If you're on Friendster, look me up!
#9 Sluggy Freelance
Pete Abram's distinguished and revolutionary online comic serves up laughs and plot twists aplenty. This strip spoofs nearly everything under the sun, from Star Trek to Harry Potter, as it follows the adventures of two friends, Torg and Riff. Add a talking mini-lop with other crazy characters, and voila! Sluggy Freelance.
#8 Pancit Canton

I don't agree with some of the opinions on this site, especially those about love and relationships. Some articles make me shake my head in dismay over the author's navete and ignorance about how relationships really work (especially since I've been in one for three years running now - Dec 2003). However, I can't deny that Jaemark Tordecilla is a brilliant writer for a BS Computer Science graduate, at least ten times better than any writer I know in the UPLB AB Communication Arts program (with the exception of Mr. Aerol Bibat, of course).
#7 Alertbox
Quick! What are the top five easiest mouse cursor locations on a computer screen? Answer: That would be the four corners of the computer screen and the pixel right under the mouse pointer. For more information on such facts related to web usability, check out this site from the premier expert on interface design, Jakob Nielsen.
#6 WPDFD
David Siegel, the man behind the site "Web Page Design For Designers" (WPDFD), was once branded as an HTML terrorist for his inappropriate use of the Hypertext Mark-up Language syntax to create marvelous website designs. Nowadays, he continues to push the boundaries of what a website can or cannot do, continuously discovering new tricks of the trade along the way. This is a must-visit for website designers!
#5 The Anime Web Turnpike
For all those people who loved visiting anime shrines back in 1997, or any other year, basta mahilig sa anime, period! This site contains links to virtually every anime site in the world! With thousands of anime titles and related topics, otaku of all ages would find something to like here.
#4 Joke Index
There are over a million clichs about the virtues of having both a good sense of humour as well as healthy laughter. This site gives you enough of the best medicine to put your doctor out of business for life. Be warned: some jokes are too risque for general patronage.
#3 GameFAQs
Gamer's delight! It doesn't matter whether you play your games on a PC, a Playstation2 or a Gameboy Advance. As long as you like games, you'll find something to like in the GameFAQs community. From gaming bulletin boards filled with tips, to walkthrough FAQs in case you're stuck, this site has a lot to offer for all videogame and computer game players.
#2 JavaWorld
If you love Java as much as I do, then this site will fill you with pure bliss. Everything you need to know about that revolutionary programming language can be found here, in highly informational forums as well as in-depth columns from the field's experts, such as Allen Holub. I simply fell in love with this site (at first sight, mind you, ha ha ha ^_^).
and the number one site on my top ten list is ...
#1 Mirsky.com
This, by far, is the best website that I've ever seen, ever. If you don't visit this site, you'll miss out on half your life. And if you do visit this site, I personally assure you that you'll never forget your experience for as long as you live.
