Homesick
Although these people knew they would have a better life in America, they couldn't help but feel a  little bit homesick.  Mexico has a rich culture and meaningful traditions, people who leave Mexico miss these things about Mexico.
Elias: When I came to America, I left my entire family behind.  One thing I really miss from Mexico is "Mi gente" (my people).  I miss my family and friends that I had in Mexcio.
Pedro: When I came from Mexico, I came with my freinds and some American money I had saved. I missed my freinds, my family, and the way of life in Mexico.
Jose: When I came from Mexico, I left everything I had. All my belongings, my family (only brothers and sisters), my friends, my home town, and the way of life in Mexico. I missed my real brothers and sisters that were in Mexico.
Juan Carlos: When I came  from Mexico, I did not leave anything behind, I knew what I was destined to do. Which was to come to the US and and make money. My father died when I was eleven, my mother kicked me out at the age of seven-teen therefore I had to leave Mexico.   I miss the Mexican culture.
