    Points of Interest

At the beginning of Route 247 is Yucca Valley. The Grubstake Days fair and demolition derby is held here every year. Along Twentynine Palms Highway (Route 62) is the Hi-Desert Nature Museum, dedicated to preserving Yucca Valley's natural and historical culture through collections, exhibitions and educational programs. Also in Yucca Valley is the Yucca Valley Airport. For more information, visit the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce page.

At the northern end of Route 247 in Barstow is the Barstow College.

    Truck Routes and Terminal Access

  • Route 62 to Route 15: Terminal Access.

    Notes

Portion (a) of Route 247 is called the "Old Woman Springs Road". Portion (b) is called the "Barstow Road". To our amazement, Route 247 is entirely in both the F&E System and the Scenic Highways list.
