362. Route 62 is from Route 10 near Whitewater to the Arizona state
line near Earp via Morongo Valley, the vicinity of Yucca Valley,
Twentynine Palms, Rice, and Vidal Junction.

In Yucca Valley, along Route 62 is the Hi-Desert Nature Museum. The Yucca Valley Airport is
at the junction with Route 247.
The Rice Valley Dunes Off-Highway Vehicle Area is located somewhere between Rice and Vidal
Junction.
If you want to travel on this route, be sure you have a lot of gas and other "provisions"
because there's virtually no truck stop from Twentynine Palms to the state line where you can
get things. Moreover, it's quite lonely and can be dangerously hot, and you certainly wouldn't
want your car to break down in the middle of nowhere now do you?
