Takako Kinoshita's Story
This section contains spoilers of Takako's storyline. This is intended for people who can't get the game or read Japanese to know about her without playing. Unless you want to play the game for yourself, do not read this section.
This is basically a summary of Takako's storyline. Although I'm not giving out gaming tips on how to get her, the summary may give away clues on how to obtain her ending.
Her Story
Akihiko meets Takako for the first time when he moves to the dorm. From his first meeting, he can tell that she's not really too careful about her work when she gives him the wrong room keys twice; causing him to see Akemi & Tonomi changing their clothes.
After unpacking into his new room, Ahikiko goes to Takako's room. As he talks to her, he discovers that she's going to the company gathering as well. She wasn't suppose to go since she's not an employee of #4, but Akemi invited her. Not knowing his way in the city, Akihiko asks Takako if they want to go to the gathering together & she agrees.
The next day on their way to the the company gathering, Akihiko sees that Takako isn't very energetic on doing things. When he decides to pair up with Takako for the flag hunting event, he sees more of it as they only travel ten minutes & she wanted to retire. However, the mentioning of BBQ really gets her going & Akihiko believes that she's extremely simple minded.
When they take a small break, Akihiko learns about Takako is actually 29 years old & gets shocked as he thought that she was 25 due to her young appearance. At the BBQ session, he discovers that Takako has a huge appetite as she eats a lot.
As days passes as Akihiko is now working at #4, he visits Takako at times. In her room, she leaves the air conditioner on very cold as if it was winter. He discovers that Takako likes to use her kotatsu.
Akihiko would have small talks with Takako such as his education & working life going together, her managerial duties, & family line. He also learns that she's Noboru's aunt as she is the younger sister of his mother. He originally thought that Takako was Noboru's sister or cousin.
In one scenario, Akihiko helps Takako with the laundry during his day off. He finds Takako liking the #4 uniforms. He tells her to try it on as he wants to see her in it. They use his room so no one would notice & the uniform on Takako stuns Akihiko as it matches her well.
However, Noboru would visit Akihiko's room to find out where Takako is as his A/C isn't working. He answers the door to get Noboru to leave ASAP, but Akihiko gets surprised to see Takako coming from outside his room.
Apparently, Takako exited from Akihiko's room window after changing back & ran from the outside of the dorm. She asks Akihiko to keep her uniform tryout a secret.
During his second visit to Takako's room, Akihiko finds a book nearby. The book is worn out & is roughly five or six years old. Takako tells him that she can lend it to him if he wants. The book consist of mainly short stories.
Lightly reading the book, Akihiko felt sleepy & bored. One story catches his attention with the word "proposal". He reads about it until he got sleepy again. Takako would mutter something that Akihiko doesn't understand & she tells him it's nothing.
One day coming back from work, Akihiko finds Takako & Natsume talk to each other roughly. They are talking about their beauty as they attack one another with words. When he tries to stop them, he gets nailed by the girls.
After recovering, Akihiko goes to see Takako who is still angry with Natsuki. When she has an idea to change the water in the open bath & goes to do, Natsume appears after taking a bath.
Natsuki asks Akihiko if he has seen Takako & he tells her that she left a while ago. Natsume wanted to thank her & say bye & asks Akihiko to pass the message to her. After Natsume leaves, Takako appears & finds out that Natsuki already took a bath & she swears that she'll get her next time.
One night, Akihiko goes to Takako's room for a visit. He sees her in a swimsuit & a surfboard. Takako tells him that she found her old surfboard from ten years ago while cleaning the storage room.
As it brings back memories & wanting to surf again, Takako asks Akihiko if he wants to go to the beach together. When he tells her that he doesn't know how to surf, she tells him that she'll teach him. He gives his answer, which is yes, the next day.
On the day after, Akihiko & Takako go to the beach together to surf. Because of her determination to surf, Akihiko ends up stopping her at times to teach him to surf. He learns that she used to have the name "Big Wednesday" in the town because of her abilities & how she trained herself during the cold winter at the beach.
After the long lectures, Akihiko & Takako go surfing & end up failing twice. Takako angrily gives up after making comments about who's idea it is to surf & goes home. From this, Akihiko learns Takako is a bit selfish.
Days have passed & Akihiko & Takako have a good friendship going. One day, he rushes into Takako's room when he sees smoke coming from her room when he goes to visit her. She was burning garbage that was cleaned up from the storage area. He helps her out by putting wood into the fire.
In the cleaning process, Akihiko finds a old picture of a young woman in a wedding dress. Asking who that is, Takako responds by saying that's her older sister & puts the photo in her pocket. After awhile, Akihiko thinks he sees her throwing the photo in the fire. Since then, Takako started to become very depressed which concerns Akihiko.
Wanting to know about her, Akihiko asks Noboru about what he knows about Takako when Noboru wants to talk to him about his aunt. When Akihiko brings up the topic about the photo, Noboru is surprised that he knows about it.
Akihiko learned that Takako was supposed to get married about ten years back, but it didn't happened. Noboru doesn't know the reason about it nor do his other family members. His mother never told him & he completely forgotten about it until now.
From there, Akihiko tries to get Takako to open up to him. But Takako waves it off with a fake smile & attitude to avoid him from feeling worried about her. This concerns him more.
As time passes, Akihiko goes to Takako's room only to find her sleeping. Next to her is the book that Akihiko read last time. Bookmarked is the proposal part. When Takako wakes up, Akihiko asks her if that bookmarked section is interesting to her. She waves it off by giving a short answer & gets back to work.
Leaving the room, Akihiko begins to wonder if the book & the wedding dress photo are connected. From there, he has problems getting a normal conversation with her. When he tries to asks her about her problems, he instead asks her if she's going to the Hokkaido trip; which she got an invitation for but thinks about not going.
On the day of the fireworks display, Akihiko asks Takako if she wants to go watch together. She refuses. At night, he tries again by going to her room. However, no one answers.
As Akihiko is about to go to the beach to find her, Noboru appears & Akihiko decides to asks him if he knows where Takako is. Noboru tells him that she's probably on the roof of the dorm since she does that every year & dislikes being in crowds. Finding her there, her awkward act continues as Akihiko joins her.
Takako admits to Akihiko that the girl in the wedding dress photo is her & thinks that he already knows. It was an incident from ten years ago. However, she stops & decides not to say anymore. Akihiko decides to embrace her which surprises Takako as she calls him a fool making funny of an old lady.
However, Takako hugs back as Akihiko tells her that he doesn't want to see her sad. But this doesn't improve their bonds much as they only end it there & not go beyond.
The next day, Akihiko asks Takako who is now energetic again if she's going to the Hokkaido trip. Embarrassed, she tells him that they should go together.
The night before the Hokkaido trip, Akihiko visits Takako's room & discuss about tomorrow's trip. She mentions something about bring something with her on the trip which Akihiko doesn't understand. Takako asks Akihiko if he is leaving at the end of August & he says yes. But, he tells her that he'll come back & to wait for him. She asks him if she can believe his words.
At the Hokkaido trip after the marketplace visit, Takako tells Akihiko to meet her at night at the observatory hill as she has something to say to him. At night on top of the hill from the gondola lift ride, Takako finally tells Akihiko her past.
The picture of her in the wedding dress was taken on the day of her wedding. She was suppose to get married by the groom who never showed up. She tells Akihiko that ten years ago a young author came to the dorm which was a hotel at the time.
A young man came to the hotel to stay for a long period of time as he was an author. He was there to write a novel & want to get some ideas for it in that town. The hotel agreed to let him stay as long as he needs to complete his novel. Takako would talk & play with him at times. Slowly, she took interest in him & started to fall for him.
However, Takako didn't want him to leave as soon as he completed his novel. But, she kept this quiet to herself as she wants him to fulfill his dream of completing it.
When he finally completed his novel & about to leave, Takako felt sad. However, he proposed to her at the beach to have her come with him & she accepted.
At the day of the wedding which the man never showed up. Takako waited for a long time for him. Weeks & months she wanted. Six months later after the incident, she received a letter from him with a book which is his complete novel.
The letter was an apology for not showing up because he was involved with another woman & has a child with her. Because of this he tells Takako that he couldn't fulfill the wedding proposal. That novel is the book that Takako had cherish for ten years.
Since that incident, Takako refused to love a man again for a long time as the novel & her memories were holding her down. Deciding to let go of her feelings for him, she throws the book over the observation hill & asks Akihiko a selfish request.
However, Takako stops before complete the request which is to spend the whole night with her. As she's about to leave, he stops her & tells her that he'll spend the night together. From here on, the two get really close physically until the next day.
The next day of the Hokkaido trip, the #4 staff go to a farm. Akihiko finds Takako & calls out to her. She now acts shy & embarrassed around him. They talk about her past memories & how he can rest assure that she's throwing them away & will make new ones with him.
On the last day, Akihiko & Takako meet at the beach. Both have some important to say. Takako starts off first by telling him to forget about her due to age differences & he'll be better off with a younger girl. Akihiko's talk is about her waiting for him until next year as he still loves her. Takako is surprised & accepts his request.
A year later, Akihiko finishes school & is accepted to work at #4. He finds Takako waiting at the station for him & calls out to her as she waves back. The story ends after the ending credits are shown with the two getting married.
