Sayaka Takai's Story
This section contains spoilers of Sayaka's storyline. This is intended for people who can't get the game or read Japanese to know about her without playing. Unless you want to play the game for yourself, do not read this section.
This is basically a summary of Sayaka's storyline. Although I'm not giving out gaming tips on how to get her, the summary may give away clues on how to obtain her ending.
Her Story
The game starts off with the intro where Akihiko learns that he is being asked for the opportunity to be sent to #4 to help out with operations. After a day of accepting the position, Sayaka sees him off at the train station & feels sad that she couldn't get the chance to confess to him this summer.
After Akihiko reaches his dorm for the first time, he calls Sayaka to tell her that he arrived; but later in the day. For the first week of work at #4, Akihiko calls Sayaka to have some small talks. Basically updating her about the situation at #4 & her updating him on what's happening at the head restaurant.
During his day off, Akihiko goes back to the head restaurant to see the manager & manages to spend some time talking to Sayaka in person. He tells her about the #4 staff & his work there; making her envy of him. During this time, he has this mysterious feeling towards her that he doesn't know how to express to her.
A few days later, Natsuki calls for the first staff meeting to discuss #4's performance. When deciding if they need more help, Akihiko suggests to get some help from other branches.
The next day, Akemi tells Akihiko that the owner has give his approval of sending another staff member to #4 from another branch. It was someone from the head restaurant.
Thinking it's Sayaka, Akihiko phones her up & her mother answers the phone. She tells him how Sayaka was excited in going to #4 & how her father was against it. The two argued with each other with Sayaka being the victor. Later that night, Sayaka phones him & tells him that she'll be arriving early morning the next day.
The next day, Akihiko picks up Sayaka from the train station & takes her to the dorm. After unpacking her stuff, she goes to #4 to meet with the new staff members & attends the next meeting.
At night, the #4 staff living in the dorm throws a welcoming party for Sayaka. Here, she interacts with the people & gets to know them. Sayaka is sent to work until the 27th, which is one day shorter than Akihiko's period.
Sayaka discusses her future on how she will find work to support her family after finishing high school. In the end, Takako takes a picture of them to mark this occasion. Later in the game, Takako gives everyone from the party a picture of it.
After the party, Sakaya & Akihiko take a stroll at the beach & do some stargazing. They talk about their futures & how they didn't get to know each other since they went to the same school when they started high school. Akihiko's feelings for her continues to grow. Days later, she would tell him about the upcoming Miss Swimsuit competition & plans to participate in it.
During the two day holidays, Sayaka asks Akihiko if he could show her the park & he agrees. When they go on a boat ride, Sayaka makes a comment about how people may see them as a love couple in which Akihiko agrees.
When Sayaka sees a basketball court & brings a basketball to Akihiko, she drags him over & asks him to take a shot to show her his cool skills. This makes Akihiko wonder how she knew that he played basketball as he quit the sport before he met her.
When Akihiko asks Sayaka how she knew that he played basketball, she tells him that he told her about how he played it before in the past. He accepts that reason as he thinks that he forgotten about that conversation. Although he hasn't shot a ball for a long time, he takes her offer.
In the afternoon, Akihiko & Sayaka head to the beach as she gets ready for the Miss Swimsuit competition. Sayaka manages to advance to the finals.
The next day, Akihiko & Sayaka return to the beach again for the Miss Swimsuit competition & she wins first place. Her prize would catch a lot of male attention, making her a local celebrity off & on work. She asks Akihiko to keep this a secret from everyone when they go back to Tokyo & he accepts.
At night, Akihiko & Sayaka go to the summer fair together. Noboru spots them & asks them if they are on a date. As Akihiko about to say yes, Sayaka tells Noboru no & that they met each other at the fair. Noboru says it's a shame as they look like a good couple.
As the story progresses, Sayaka decides to go to Akihiko's room every morning to make him breakfast after hearing that he eats a cup of noodles in the morning. They would have small talks as well about their ideal lover & if they have one or not.
The breakfast trips would briefly stop when Akihiko peeps into the female open air bath at night when he was relaxing at the male side & hears Sayaka on the other side. Because she caught him & doesn't accept his excuse of chasing a thief away, she ignores him for a day as he tries to remedy himself. It would be cleared up when Sayaka makes breakfast for him again a day after when she thinks that a day of regret is enough for him.
One day, Akihiko is asked by Natsuki to help her with the storage room arrange on a few boxes during his break. He agrees & gives up part of his break time for it. The story temporary switches to Sayaka's view.
Thinking she would find Akihiko in the office during her break, Sayaka discovers from Natsuki that he's in the storage room & decides to go there. Once she sees him, she watches him from a distance.
Sayaka starts to recall her past school years where she was watching Akihiko from a distance before & how she didn't have a courage to go talk to him at the time. It stops when she goes talk to him & give him an iced coffee.
After a company meeting, Sayaka asks Akihiko if he wants to go on a date with her the next day. He thinks it's a joke at first until she says that she's serious. Hearing this, he asks Akemi if he can take the day off tomorrow & she approves it.
When Akihiko goes back to the dorm, he visits Sayaka's room & tells her about the day off situation. From there, they talk about plans for the date. Afterwards, Akihiko goes back to his room. Unable to sleep, he thinks about the date which dirties his mind a bit.
On the day of their date, Sayaka & Akihiko go to a movie theatre. The movie follows the storyline of Welcome to Pia Carrot!! 2, but using a different title. After the movie, the two talk about their feelings & opinions of the movie.
After a scroll in the park, they head back to the dorm & go to Akihiko's room when he asks Sayaka to stay with him for the night. With the both of them nervous, they try to go all the way. However, Sayaka rejects him when he tries to touch her. Sayaka tells Akihiko in tears that this isn't the real her.
Sayaka tells Akihiko about how she started to watch him during basketball practice when he lost a high school game by missing a free throw. She watched him from a distance & never had the courage to approach him. She never knew his name until she found out that he was applying for Pia Carrot #2. That's when she followed him & become friends with him as he was her first love. However, she didn't expect to go all the way as she describes herself as a coward.
Akihiko responds to Sayaka about how he did feel someone watching him during practice & was determined to find her as well. Because the two of them don't know their feelings for each other & themselves, their relationship starts to go sour.
The next day, Sayaka shows up at Akihiko's door & wants to make breakfast for him. Seeing this unchanged mode, he was disturbed by it because of the incident last night. He was wondering why she's continuing to put up this act & tells her to leave him alone. It goes on for a couple of days where he avoids her as she continues to put up that happy mood & tries to talk to him.
Sayaka manages to tell Akihiko her story in tears about her feelings as she followed him to the changing room at work. Akihiko still doesn't understand her feelings & his own. He was confused that he actually went to the beach to watch the fireworks when Sayaka invites him. However, he didn't accept her invitation at the time & watches in secret when he's actually looking for her to see if she actually went.
At the Hokkaido trip, Akihiko & Sayaka continue to have their weak relationship. He continues to avoid Sayaka as much as possible even though she tries to approach him & get friendly.
At night on the top of the mountain after the gondola ride, Akihiko looks at the photo of Sakaya's welcoming party & thinks back on the days that he & Sayaka were. He hides the picture when Sayaka approaches him & she finally gets the chance to tell him about what she wanted to say to him.
Sayaka tells Akihiko that she plans to quit working at the head restaurant when she gets back due to family situations. This shocks him. From there, the roles are reversed as Sayaka is starting to avoid him & Akihiko chasing after her.
After the Hokkaido trip, Akihiko starts to lose himself. He constantly thinks about how he misses the days he had fun with Sayaka.
When the owner of Pia Carrot comes for an inspection of #4, Akihiko sees Sayaka talking to him & tells him that she has something important to say to him & wants to go outside to talk about it. Akihiko believes she's telling the owner about her resignation.
When Akihiko sees Sayaka in the staffroom at the end of his shift, he asks her if she talked to the owner about her resignation. When she said yes due to family conditions, Akihiko calls it a lie & pins her to the wall. He tells her about how much he loves her & asks why she wants to quit. Plus, he asks her about their feelings which makes Sayaka cry. Natsuki comes in & stops them both. While they separate, Sayaka runs away.
At night at the dorm, Akihiko visits Sayaka's room. She refuses to open the door or talk to him. From there, Akihiko expresses all his emotions & feelings to her about how he loves her & wants to go back to the days where they had fun together.
Akihiko told Sayaka that he planned to confess his love to her this summer until the incident where he was transferred to #4 by surprise. He tells her that he'll leave the photo of her welcoming party at the front door on the floor & hopes she takes it with her.
The next day, Takako goes to Akihiko's room. He was a bit disappointed not to see Sayaka there. Takako tells him that Sayaka has left the dorm early in the morning & she was surprised that he didn't know about it.
Akihiko goes to Sayaka's room & finds the picture missing from the floor. The door opens & Takako appears. Asked if there was anything at the front door before she went in, Takako said no. The last work day at #4 for Akihiko leaves him gloomy.
The story shifts to Sayaka's point of view as she goes to the head restaurant. She meets Satomi Kinoshita at the restaurant who has come back to work after her maternal leave. Seeing her, Sayaka asks her to come with her.
They reach to the park & Sayaka tells Satomi that she will be resigning. Satomi is sadden a bit about the situation & starts talking about herself when she faced the same situation as Sayaka which was love.
When Satomi asks Sayaka if the resignation has anything to do with Akihiko, Satomi hits a bulls eye as she tells her that she knows when she watched the two of them working together. She asks Sayaka to think about it some more since she still has three days left before school starts.
On August 31st, Akihiko goes back to work at the head restaurant for the first time since he came back from #4. He makes his greetings to the staff members, but couldn't find Sayaka around.
During his break, Akihiko searched the whole restaurant & isn't able to find her. Thinking she quitted, he feels depressed & asks the owner about it in the office. When the owner tells him that he hear about Sayaka's story & asks Akihiko to work hard for her part, Akihiko thinks that she has really left.
However, Sayaka appears behind Akihiko in a #2 uniform after the owner leaves the office. Sayaka greets him with her usual joking ways & Akihiko talks back in the same matter as they did in the past. Sayaka then finally confesses to Akihiko her love for him & how she didn't want to separate from him.
The story ends with Akihiko asking the crying Sayaka to smile. She thanks this summer & Pia Carrot for finally expressing her love to Akihiko.
