Miharu Fuyuki's Story
This section contains spoilers of Miharu's storyline. This is intended for people who can't get the game or read Japanese to know about her without playing. Unless you want to play the game for yourself, do not read this section.
This is basically a summary of Miharu's storyline. Although I'm not giving out gaming tips on how to get her, the summary may give away clues on how to obtain her ending.
Her Story
Akihiko meets a mysterious girl in glasses while strolling at the beach at night after he finishes setting up his room at the dorm. When they walked past each other, he felt that she looked lonely. He even joked about her thinking about suicide.
The next day at the company gathering, Akihiko tries to pair up with a girl named Miharu whom he first met for the flag spotting event. However, she distances herself from him. Although he tries to pair up with someone else afterwards, only he & Miharu were left unpaired. Natsuki tells them to pair up & hurry as the event has already started.
During the event, Akihiko tries talking to Miharu but she either avoids him or gives short nodding answers. He doesn't understand her purpose of avoiding him as he felt that he may have done something to her to dislike him. He felt the atmosphere around her to be heavy & painful.
During his first few days working at #4, Akihiko has extreme difficulties in approaching Miharu; at work & the dorm. One day when Takako tells him that she's at the beach as he goes visiting Miharu's room, he goes there to find a sleeping Miharu sunbathing. Looking at her, he feels a different atmosphere around her.
One day when he tries to visit Miharu at her room again, Akihiko discovers the same girl with glasses from the beach leaving from Miharu's room. He thought she was her sister as the atmosphere around them is different. He later discovers that girl is actually Miharu when he sees her answering her door.
Miharu has bad eyesight & usually wears contacts. Akihiko honestly tells her that he thought she was a different person due to the different atmosphere around them. Whether he sees her happy, Akihiko tries to approach her with joy. But she would always change her attitude towards him.
One day, Akihiko finally gets the chance to break the ice when he sees Miharu talking happily with Noboru & Nana during their break in the office. Taking this chance, he approaches to them & tries to happily join them in their conversation. Seeing him, Miharu changes her attitude & excuses herself.
Noboru asks Akihiko what he did to Miharu when he & Nana saw Miharu suddenly change her attitude. He tells them that he doesn't know. Nana feels bad for Miharu as she felt that sudden change made her look sad & lonely.
Akihiko starts to chase after Miharu outside the back of the restaurant. He confirms that Miharu is only cold towards him & not to anyone else after seeing the previous conversation she had.
Outside, Akihiko calls out to Miharu & unknowingly physically grabs her which hurts her when she tries to escape. He lets go of her & apologizes for his actions. He apologizes to her again for something else, which surprises her.
Akihiko tells Miharu that he doesn't know what he did to make her hate him & apologizes. He finishes it off by saying that he won't bother or talk to her anymore, except for usual greetings such as 'good morning'. The atmosphere is heavy & awkward for both of them when they fall silent with Akihiko's apology.
As Akihiko's about to leave, Miharu stops & grabs him which surprises Akihiko this time. She tells him that when she looks at him she recalls her past. Her past seems very painful to Akihiko & tells her to stop if she doesn't feel comfortable about it. She also apologizes to him about how her attitude towards him was inappropriate.
For the first time, Akihiko & Miharu start talking to each other. Akihiko makes a small talk about her going to the beach & seeing if they can go together at times. When she agrees to his invitation, they start to become friends after clearing things up. However, Miharu takes a good close look at Akihiko before they head back to the office. This makes Akihiko wonder how looking at him recalls her past.
After work, Akihiko asks Miharu if she wants to walk back to the dorm together & she agrees. Walking to the dorm, Miharu asks him how he honestly felt about her cold attitude towards him before. He tells her that he wasn't affected by it as he felt there was a reason for it. She feels happy about his response & thanks him.
The next day, Akihiko tries to visit Miharu's room only to find her at the beach sunbathing. After waking her up, she asks him to swim with her. Telling her that he doesn't know how to swim, she tells him that she'll teach him. Seeing this happy Miharu, he begins to think how her true self is being shown to him after seeing her cold self in the past.
Akihiko sees more of Miharu's gentle side when he sees her at the dorm's pond. He wasn't aware this area existed & finds out that Miharu has been taking care of the fishes while Takako does other chorus in the dorm. He joins her in feeding the fishes & learns some things about her such as having a koi pond in her house; leaving him the impression that she's from a wealthy family.
National holidays arrives & #4 closes. Akihiko goes to Miharu's room & asks if she'll be participating in the Miss swimsuit competition that is taking place later in the afternoon. He finds out that she has already submitted an entry for it. When he tells her that he'll be there to watch & support here, she gets embarrassed.
In the afternoon, the first half of the swimsuit competition starts & Miharu enters into the finals. The next day, the competition continues at the beach. Miharu wins first place & Akihiko congratulates her.
Later that day, Akihiko invites Miharu to the summer fair. Because of the full crowd, they get bumped around & Miharu loses one of her contacts. She has a spare back in the dorm, but going there & back will have them miss the fair.
Miharu feels bad about it, but Akihiko decides that he'll hold her hand & guide her through the festival. Together, they enjoy the time spent with each other. Both secretly are glad about the incident where Miharu lost her contacts. They continue to hold hands back to the dorm while trying to avoid being spotted by anyone they know.
The next day, Akihiko goes to the beach & bumps into a young man. The man apologizes to him & one of his friends comes up asking what's going on rudely. The man tells his friend it's ok & both start to leave. Before he does, he looks at Akihiko as if he knew him. However, he ignores it & apologizes to Akihiko.
Later on when Akihiko goes for a late bath in the open air bath, he hears Miharu in the other side. He decides to peep on her, but creates a sound that startles Miharu as she screams for help. Akihiko runs out of the bath only to be caught by Miharu in the hallway.
Miharu tells Akihiko the situation & he discovers that she doesn't know it was him since she didn't have her glasses or contacts on. She asks him to check to see if there is a bear out there which of course there isn't. But he agrees to check & later escorts her to her room with a sense of guilty in him.
Time passes as Akihiko & Miharu are becoming good friends. One day during his day off, he decides to go to #4 for a meal. There he finds Miharu troubled by two young men named Kato & Matsuura at a table. He overhears them talking to her about how she was here after being gone for half a year.
Akihiko decides to save Miharu by calling out to her to make take an order. She immediately goes to him & later the two would be outside at the back of the restaurant. Akihiko asks Miharu who those two guys were & she doesn't tell him. The two guys, who are named Kato & Matsuura, later appear.
Kato & Matsuura continue to pester Miharu & spot Akihiko. Kato calls him Haruhi mistakenly as Akihiko looks like that person. They talk to Miharu about how she left them for Haruhi-look-alike Akihiko. They tell her to come back with them & continue the old days where the three of them stayed together. Akihiko jumps in & stops them.
After Kato & Matsuura leave thinking Akihiko isn't worth the effort to fight with, Akihiko asks Miharu if she's alright. He tells her Haruhi is Haruhi & he is he as they are two different people. She asks him to leave her alone & she doesn't tell him about Haruhi or her past. This leaves Akihiko wondering about it.
At night at the dorm, Akihiko tries to cheer Miharu up. He tries to tell her that what was in the past is the past & now is now. Plus, he goes about the same words that he mentioned to her earlier that day. But she still wants to be alone again. Also, she plans to stay in her room most of the time. Akihiko feels that it's back to square one as if they were meeting each other for the first time again.
The next day, Akihiko is faced with Kato & Matsuura when he reaches to #4. He gets into a verbal argument with them & tells them to leave Miharu alone. They refuse & continue to pester him for keeping their sex friend to himself & asking how many times he has done her. They go about asking her schedule & where she lives. They give up when Akihiko refuses to give them anything.
At night, Akihiko visits Miharu's room again to try to cheer her up. He goes about the same things he said in the previous night. He also adds about how it's tough to be alone & gives his story about transferring to #4. He tells her that he managed to make a lot of friends here & she isn't alone as there are the #4 staff to support her.
When Miharu tells Akihiko that she's dirty & how people would react to her when they learn about her past, he tells her it doesn't matter as long as she feels happy working at #4. Convinced by Akihiko's words, she smiles again.
When Miharu is about to tell Akihiko about her past, he stops her saying it doesn't matter now. Here, Akihiko asks her when her next day off is as he was thinking of taking her on date. When they discover that it's on the 23rd & it doesn't matches with his day off, Miharu suggests that he should ask Akemi since he's working hard at the restaurant. After asking Akemi for the day off & getting the approval, he tells Miharu about it & she tells him that she has two movie tickets & they should use it on their date.
The next day after work, Miharu invites Akihiko to the beach to watch the fireworks event. However, they spot Kato & Matsuura. Akihiko continues to stand up for her. They tell them that they will be going back to Tokyo on the 23rd & wants to spend one night with Miharu before they leave. Refusing to do so will expose her past to others.
As Akihiko stands up against Kato & Matsuura, Miharu decides to go with them & bear with it since it's one night only & her past won't be revealed. Akihiko tries to convince her to stop & at the last moment, he takes her hand & runs away from Kato & Matsuura. At the dorm, she thanks him for his support as he tells her that their threat is an empty one.
On the night before their date, Miharu visits Akihiko's room at the dorm after work. They plan out their date on time & meeting place. Although they live under the same roof, she wants to make this a real date where they are waiting for each other.
On the 23rd, the day of Akihiko & Miharu's date, Akihiko waits for Miharu at the station & meets Kato & Matsuura again. They are planning to leave town today & want to talk to Akihiko. They decide to go to an alley for this & Akihiko agrees. However, it turns into a fight when they pound their hate towards Akihiko as a goodbye present.
Akihiko withstands the beatings & provokes Kato & Matsuura. Miharu suddenly appears to stop the beating as Akihiko is badly injured. Kato & Matsuura give up & decide to leave. Akihiko wants to continue the fight, but Miharu stops him. He loses conscious afterwards before they go back to the dorm.
Akihiko dreams about the past where he apologized to Miharu at the back of #4 & sees her smile for the first time. He also dreams about her mentioning how he recalls her past when she looks at him. He wakes up & finds himself in Miharu's bed. Miharu was nursing him.
Akihiko apologizes to Miharu for ruining their day off to see the movie, but Miharu tells him that it's alright since a movie can be watched anytime while there is only one of him. Miharu finally tells him about her past.
Akihiko learns that Miharu was an honour student & went to private schools since she was in kindergarten. She was part of a student council committee as well. She would be called a princess by people.
However, Miharu got involved in an accident that would leave her hospitalized for three years. When she went back to school, her grades dropped & everyone she knew has already graduated. She went from 10th place to 30th place. Her parents gave up on her & she left home. She only had money with her & she met Kato & Matsuura, the only people that would accept her.
Next, Miharu would mention Haruhi, her little brother at home. He too was an honour student who would later struggle as well. When Miharu was hospitalized, her parents focused on Haruhi as they gave up on her.
However, Haruhi was supportive of Miharu & loved his big sister. He visits her when she left & asks her to come back home everyday. But seeing him struggle with his grades & how their parents gave up on him as well, she left her town & moved here. She misses her brother so much.
Hearing her story, Akihiko suggests that Miharu should see Haruhi & he wants to come along too. When she tells him that she'll visit him tomorrow & skip the company trip to Hokkaido, he does the same as well.
As Akihiko tries to get up & leave Miharu's room, she stops him & tells him to stay. Afterwards, the two start to physically strengthen their relationship. She now sees Akihiko as a different person & not as Haruhi as she loves Akihiko as who he is. She invited him on the date not because he looks like Haruhi as well.
The next day, Miharu & Akihiko go back to her home in Tokyo to meet Haruhi. When they arrive at her home, Akihiko is astounded by her house as he thinks there are 20 rooms in that two story house.
Akihiko & Miharu learn that Haruhi left home due to their parents kicking him out & is living alone. He failed his entrance exam & is working part-time. The money earned will be used for tuition fees as Haruhi is aiming to take the test again. They learned that he's working somewhere near the station.
Miharu & Akihiko manage to spot Haruhi at a road construction site. He is working in a construction company. Miharu & him talk to each other as she cries & tells him how much she missed him & wanted to see him again. She apologizes to him & the two of them catch up on lost time as they tell each other what they are currently doing.
Afterwards, Miharu & Akihiko return back to the dorm after eating at #2 near the station. Now that the relationship between Miharu & Haruhi is resolved, Akihiko begins to think about his feelings for Miharu.
The next day, Akihiko goes to visit Miharu. During the visit, he thinks back from the time he met Miharu to now. Asked by her, he tells her what he thought about her based on his first impression which was a being a fussy lady. But it has changed to a girl that he likes. Both are embarrassed by his remarks.
The final day for Akihiko to go back arrives. He waits for Miharu at the beach & tells her that he'll come back in the spring. He asks Miharu to wait for him & take care of #4 & she agrees.
The story ends as time passes when Akihiko goes back to the dorm with Miharu hugging close to him from behind. She tells him how much she loves him as he tries to unpack his luggage. He tells her that he'll be moving in on the first of the month & they will be together again.
