I've almost had it with my job. The latest front desk member is creating too many problems & I'm almost the one that needs to take the abuse or clean it up. This past Sunday, it was very bad. I had one guest telling me that she missed their flight because we didn't give her a wakeup call. I could only apologize to her since I had no idea what went wrong as the incidents happened before my shift. After she left as I called her a taxi, I noticed that she was booked for a hotel shuttle to the airport at 6AM. I asked the shuttle driver about it & if the night audit called the room about the shuttle. I was told that they was no answer from the room when they called her. But, I was puzzled about the wake up call set at 5AM that didn't go off. It was either the front desk staff lied about it or the guest lying. I couldn't favour any side but the guest since "the customer is always right". The guest didn't come back or call, so I assumed that she got a flight okay.
The second incident on the same day was about an early check in. I knew about this the day before as I was looking at the reservation list, so I was pretty prepared just in case. There was six rooms & I pretty much knew I was going to have hell somewhere. I didn't expect it to be early too as the person who booked it called around 9am. Much early than I thought. Because of the previous night being full on the room types they reserved & check out being 12pm, I took him that I can't do early check ins as I only had one room ready. Then, he gets mad about how he was promised early check ins or else he wouldn't have booked with us. I get into a scruff with him on the phone as people are lining up waiting to be checked out. I asked him who told him that he was able to check them in early as I wanted to confirm if it was the front desk agent I saw in the system that booked them. He doesn't give me a name or an idea on who it was, but I figured who it was by guessing. I told him to check back in a hour. Minutes later, he comes to the hotel & talks about how people are checking out now & I should give him rooms. I tell him that the rooms that people are checking out from are necessary the same room type that he reserved & the rooms need to be clean. Plus, I told him again about the check out time & I don't know when rooms will be ready since I have no idea when people will be checking out. He tells me that I have a hour to do this. Luckily, I was able to figure something out quickly & push housekeepers to clean the rooms that I wanted quickly. I felt bad pushing them. Of course, the guy was happy to get six rooms while I need to focus on figuring out how to get the rooms with little resources while checking people out & answering phones in such a small time frame. When it was time to change shifts with the front desk agent, I told her about the situation I had. Tells me that she told the guest that the early check-in wasn't guarantee & the guest knew about it. I told her about the guest's side & how I got into a fight with him. Again, I don't know who's lying & I have to favour the guest in this mess since he was "promised" an early check-in.
I only have my share of problems with this troublesome front desk agent when other people told me about her. Housekeepers, shuttle drivers, & other front desk agents. Even the manager has his lick on her. I recalled one situation where the manager scolded her in the office & possibly gave her a warning about the amount mistakes she's been making. I assume this is what happened when I went in there & the manager was quietly talking to her & suddenly stop when he saw me. It's also the fact that I was told by her that she was told by him that she has been making too many mistakes lately. Personally, I don't think she'll be around very long if this keeps up. I even have the another front desk agent quitting because of her as one of the reasons. I'm very close to quitting because of her too. Lately, we have been looking for another front desk agent since the other person is quitting. Hopefully, we will find someone good. We did have someone with no experience come in for a few hours. After saying she'll take the job, she quit the next day after 2.5 hours of training I heard. Kind of funny since she got a job from another hotel I heard with better pay.
Recently got my Gundam Battle Tactics game. Played with it a bit & it's pretty fun. I missed that game's playing system since I rarely go to the arcades & the Gundam Vs. games were fun. I say it's a good game to pick up if you are waiting for the Gundam Seed Vs game that's coming to the PSP next month. Although it's less than a week away, this game is pretty good if you like the U.C. era.
Enough of my bitching. What would make the mood happy? A update! Make it even better? How about something from the Downloads section? YAY! This time, it's ANGEL ASSORT Vol. 4. Not a lot of stuff, but it's better than nothing. At times, I would be updating things here without notice since I'll be tired out very quickly again from that troublesome front desk agent & possibly some overtime if we don't find someone for the hotel fast. But, don't bother to check here everyday. It's not going to happen really. Most of it would be minor updates or corrections.

Last week, I got my Spectral Vs Generation PSP game. Didn't have too much time to play it since I'm was busy doing a lot of renovating in my house. It's fairly a good game, but not the best as it's pretty plain & simple. My Death Note L's Chair Charm also arrived. The chain is shorter than I thought as the chair hangs fairly close to my neck. I guess charms are designed to be like that or it's probably a girl accessory. Not too sure since I've been wearing it outside a bit now. But then again, a lot of guys have been girly these days.
Updates? Zero! Too busy with life just by being tired. I'll probably be more tired in the future. One of our front desk agents is quitting & I'll probably need to train a new person sometime soon. Luckily, this person gave two weeks notice or else I'll be in more trouble again. Nevertheless, more hell for me. Sigh!

Recently, I've been getting a lot of J-music CDs in the mail. Along with those discs, I've got some other discs as well. UMDs that is. I got my Monster Kingdom & Spectral Soul. No plans to open them yet since I'm still working on Legend of Heroes 3. Those 50 hours are really getting me going. Plus the rate I'm playing my PSP these days, it's going to be a long time. I think I haven't reach the halfway point of that game yet. Aside from my two new games, Gurumin, Blade Dancer, & Finder Love Risa Kudo LE are still on the shelf. Plus, I haven't finished Generation of Chaos since I first played that game. Also, Samurai Warriors & Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2 are not done yet in terms of finishing all the playable characters & unlocking storylines. Plus, Monster Hunter, Guilty Gear Judgment, & Ridge Racer are still unfinished as well. I've been getting more games than I can finish them. Plus, I plan to get more next month. What a waste of money! I think I spent over $2,000 on PSP games already. On the bright side, some of these games are pretty rare now. So, the value of them will probably make me feel a bit better somewhat. These games are almost for collecting than playing from the looks of it at this point. I should also spend some time during some reviews even though they may be brief.
Work at the hotel is still going strong. I don't know what's going on. Here I am thinking slow season has finally arrived, but BAM! High season mode again! I don't know when I'm going to get some decent rest. It's almost going for a year now. I want to go on vacation, but I don't know where to go. I haven't thought of any places to go. Plus, I got my dog living with us. It's probably too early to since she still probably think strangely of us although she seem to accept us. Also, she doesn't bark at me anymore for no reason. But, we still need to train her hard to obey.
In anime news, Geneon Entertainment USA has licensed Shonen Onmyoji. First volume is scheduled to be released in July. There has been a fair number of anime shows being licensed in North America now. Probably people are starting to accept anime more here now. Also, Bandai picked up the second half of Galaxy Angel A & AA. It's also know as season three.
Updates? Minor again since I've been burnt out on stuff. Plus, I usually use my free time to play on my PSP a bit since I want to release some stress. Also, I've been currently working on parts of the Pia Carrot!! G.O. special section as well as the Crescendo special section. Anyways, here's what's up:
Also, I got rid of my Mon-Sieur BOME Collection Vol. 4 Halloween-chan recently, I updated that review to reflect it & the Mon-Sieur BOME Collection Series section in the Collectables section as well.
Speaking of Pia Carrot G.O., I had some issues with the translation program I was using before. The dll file that Oh! Text Hooker uses stopped working & calls it an invalid dll plugin. I found it strange. After somehow bypassing the problem once, it stopped working again. I was about to scrap the Pia Carrot G.O. special section until I remember I have AGTH & ATLAS. I had no luck using these two programs before until I used ATLAS version 11 instead of 13. It was then I manage to get it to work. I don't know how come version 13 didn't work while version 11 did after following instructions from the web very carefully. I was probably missing some files in version 13 since I started installing that first. It was only when I removed it & installing a fresh copy of version that I managed to get the translations going. Also, it seems to translate faster than Oh! Text Hooker did. I think it uses it's stored data dictionary & not the net.
That's it for this week. Currently too busy doing some tidying up the house. Renovating the place now.

Another month gone & another archive to do. You can find all of February 2007's news in the Past News Archive section.
Recently, I got my PSP game Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure. No plan to play it yet since I'm still working on Legend of Heroes 3. I got Blade Dancer unopened on the shelf too. Monster Kingdom, Spectral Vs. Generation, Spectral Soul, & Gundam Battle Royale are coming as well. I'll probably open Gundam Battle Royale when I get it since I want to mess around the game with its versus mode. I like the game play & miss playing the Vs. Gundam games from the arcades. Spectral Vs. Generation may get the same treatment as well since it's a short fighting game. I still have Finder Love Risa Kudo unopened as well. Don't know if I'll be opening it, even for the bonus stuff. That limited edition box is obsolete now. Plan to get the upcoming Gundam Seed game that's coming out in April as well. Plus some other Japanese-based RPGs that's being released in North America in that month as well. Currently I got like just over 20 PSP games. Doing some math, I basically brought 6.7 games a year so far. I don't know if that's normal or what.
Doing the Pia Carrot!! G.O. section & receiving an email about Pia Carrot!! 3.3, I realized that I spelled Tomomi Aizawa's name wrong. I spelt it as Tomoni. I should be ashamed since she's one of my favourite characters from the game. I'm an idiot. I fixed it up on some of the pages in the Welcome to Pia Carrot!! 3 collectables section & uploaded them last week. This week, I fixed it up in the Welcome to Pia Carrot!! 3 special section. I also noticed that I forgot to put the dates of when they were last updated. Doesn't matter now since I redid almost all the pages to include the main character's name (Akihiko Kannnaduki). I also made a page for him as well.
In anime news, some anime licenses in North America. Bandai licensed Galaxy Angel Rune & Freedom. This is part of a distribution agreement between Geneon & Bandai Visual. From Geneon USA & anime News Network's "Guess Geneon's License #2" contest, When They Cry - Higurashi (Japanese name: Higurashi no Naku Koro) was announced. I'm looking forward to this title & wondering if they will release an uncut version here. I plan to get the first volume which will be released on June 2007 & the rest of the volume as well. I've updated the Higurashi no Naku Koro anime review to reflect this licensing. Also, I updated the Final Fantasy VII: Last Order review on the licensing part as Sony Columbia Pictures has released this on the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Collector's Edition that was released on February 20, 2007.
Updates? Minor, since I only have one day off this week due to a co-worker gone to Hawaii for vacation for one week. I only updated the collection list on the Rozen Maiden section & a brief review of Altelier Sai Brighter than Dawning Blue 1/6 Feena Fam Earthlight PVC Figurine in the Brighter than Dawning Blue section in the Collectables section.
I'll see if I can get more stuff up next time if time permits. Even though my workplace is slowing down a bit, I'm still too busy there for some reason. Reservations keep popping up & new paperwork is piling up for me now. Life bites.
