1/6 Feena Fam Earthlight

Introduction

As I learned a bit about Brighter than Dawning Blue, I came across this 1/6 Feena Fam Earthlight PVC figurine.  When I first saw it, I thought it was a beauty.  Big size, nice pose, & lovely dress.  Because of the high price tag, it took me a while to get this as I hesitated.  I managed to get her at a reasonable price from YesAsia.  It was still pricey though.  I only decided to get it when the anime came out & figured that a lot of people would get her for the popularity & make the figurine a rare item.

Currently, I don't have Feena out of the box.  No space for something that big at the moment.

Some of the pictures aren't clear & good.  If I have time, I'll redo the bad ones & repost them.

The Review

Feena Fam Earthlight in box

Although the box is big, I assume Feena is about 3/4 or less of the box's height.  Feena does require some minor assembly.  You need to place that sword into her arms & attach her to a base.  I don't know what the base looks like, but I assume it's round & black.  It's quite an appealling box, but probably not something you want Feena to stay in.

The pose Feena sports is a static one where she is holding her sword with her dress flowing to her left as well as her hair.  It does have some energy in it for a static pose.  Let's move to the details.

Feena's dress is nicely molded with the creases.  Very detailed & evenly made.  Judging from the box window, the molding looks clean without any bumps or visible molding joints.  However, it does have some fakeness to it.  In other words, PVC appearance.  It's not very strong, but the dress would almost look real if the paint didn't have that gloss look. 

The paint job is a bit of a problem.  You can see quite a lot of bleeding on the gold parts on to the dress.  The other colours seem fine since the gold is mainly used for the panel lining.  The jeweled areas are very good & really brings some spark to Feena's beauty.

The sword doesn't look too bad in terms of molding & paint work.  Looks very clean.  But the gold bleeds appear here as well.

Feena's face closely resembles the design from the game & not from the anime.  This is a good thing actually since the anime design is sloppy.  However, something about Feena's face seems a bit off.  I'm not sure what it is exactly.  My assumption is the simple red line mouth.  Makes it look a bit cheap for some reason.  The eyes are very good though.  It's etched carefully with details.  It's different from a lot of other PVC figurines where the eyes are etched the same way almost.  I want to say it's a nicely done face, but something is preventing me from it.  Not sure what.

Overall Conclusion

The 1/6 Feena Fam Earthlight PVC figurine is a nice piece of work.  Excellent workmanship to bring that pose to life.  The gold bleeds are quite noticeable at a good distance on some areas which would otherwise make this figurine excellent.  However, I can't score on this Feena figurine as she's still in her box.  Aside from the looks, I don't know how difficult the assembly of the sword & base attachment is.  Plus, the stability of the base & how well the joints are to hold her up.  Also, the firm grip of the sword in Feena's arms is questionable as I don't know if it falls out easily or not.

If you are thinking about getting this big Feena PVC figurine, you may have troubles finding her.  There were quite a few stores that still carried her & priced at the Japanese suggested retail price.  I haven't seen the price go down much or rise much.  For some strange reason, Feena became sudden hard to find & this was pretty much after the anime show had finished airing with the DVDs all out already.
